-All four models will come with usb-c and the Dynamic Island
-The iPhone 15 will come with the A16, while the 15 Pro will come with the A17.
-New naming scheme: 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Ultra. The 6.7-inch iPhone 15 “Pro” will be called Ultra and be differentiated a bit more, and that includes pricing. I expect it to start at $1199 at best. I’ll have more specific info about features closer to release.
-Apple is already working on 8K recording, although it is unclear whether this will be available for all the Pro lineup or just for the iPhone Ultra.
-Apple wants battery life to improve by 3-4 hours next year, specially on the iPhone Ultra.

I think that's a distinct possibility. Didn't some teardown discover a hidden wireless service port on the Series 7 Apple Watch that used some close range wireless protocol? When I looked up details of the connection being used ages ago when that article was first published it seemed to be quite high bandwidth.

If Apple is already putting something like that in one of its devices, and as a debug port presumably putting the software support down at a very low level in the firmware so that higher level crashes and lockups don't disable it, then the next step to include it in future iPhones and release a Magsafe+ that has the ability to connect to it seems like a quite natural progression to me.

More battery always good but from 12 pro to 14 pro max feels like a huge leap to me in battery life

Can't see Apple using Ultra on iphone. They won't copy Samsung.

Ultra is used on the M1 chip, and the Watch.

It makes sense for them to continue this convention with Ultra as the top flagship.

Exactly put the Ultra above at a higher price so people that want to spend more can without PM users having to pay more

are there enough potential new tech to go in the Ultra? This aligns with how they named the M1 chips (M1 -> Pro -> Max -> Ultra), but the Watch doesn't have a Max.
