That looks perfectly fine. Most of them have those "streaks". It's just part of the Leather grain. It'll slightly change with daily use. Give it about two weeks.

It's leather they are all gonna have markings. If you want perfect color and symmetry get the silicone.
I just want to say, be careful with this. if you want to do it, thats great, you are entitled to, as per Apples generous return policy, but there are some ******* Apple employees out there that will try to refuse and guilt trip you instead saying Nahh man thats normal / Ok I'm swapping this but can you like not, do it so much... / Do you often do this?
I've had to put up with all 3, regarding a leather case for the 6s, neither were pleasant. They just dont seem to get when you're spending $69AUD on a case, you will want it to be perfect. Spoke with the store manager at the time, turns out I was right, apologised and he dealt with them promptly. Know your rights!
Anyways that leather case looks beautiful! If I had to choose....between black leather / black silicone, I couldn't decide. Both would look great with Jet Black

Yup, $69 for the standard model, $75 for the plus model. Still better actually than if we lived in the UK, the prices there, they got whacked with an increase across most accessories because of Brexit

After 4 months it had turned black, smudged everywhere, disgusting ^^ heres someone else photos, mine ended up like then, then just got worse and worse

Yep, remember those - can't say I ever thought light yellowy-green leather was ever going to end well for a phone case, but there you go...
The Sea Blue seems to be a bit darker than the 5s case, so maybe it'll age better, I'm sure I'll find out!!
I think it looks fine, my black leather case looks exactly the same.
The black leather is the way to go imo if you don't like the wear and tear. Patinas can look good but often they look gross. Ymmv

They will all have natural variances. It's not manufactured like the silicone. That's part of the random individuality of the cases and what makes them special imo. If it really bothers you exchange it but I've had many leather cases and none were perfectly uniform. Just use it and enjoy it. Realize it'll get scuffed and worn but that's part of the journey. Enjoy the feel and fit of it.

So the streaks were bothering me, ended up getting it exchanged, got a beauty - fit and finish! Applied my car's leather protector - Meguiar's leather conditioner foam, rubbed it in slightly - has a wonderful scent, nice feel, and deeper black!

Aww I had an opportunity to get that one with a 50% discount at Myers today, in a haste, but instead opted for the black silicone (very pleased all the same). That does look really good though!
Make sure you put the phone back into the case when it is drying. I didn't with my saddle brown and the leather shrunk and now the case doesn't fit properly, it is sticking out on the bottom right corner.
