iPhone SE (2022) New iPhone SE 2022 activation screen shows IMEI instead of "hello" animation - is it a fake or tampered phone?

Battery health is 100% but it drains a lot even 2 weeks after being activated, so it had time to do all the indexing.
Anyway...
I will use it for a few more days and see how it functions
Then I will decide if I return it

Try the iOS 16.2 beta if battery life is that dire. Battery was great on the SE 2022 when I tried it out this fall, after 16 (but before 16.1) had been released. 16.1 was awful for my 13 mini’s battery but so far 16.2 seems much better.

I hope you enjoy your SE! It really is a lovely little phone. Which color did you get?

Yet it only has "telephone technical support" active until January 2023, even though it was purchased new 2 weeks ago?!

iPhones (and most other Apple products that I can think of) come with 90 days of phone support, so there’s nothing fishy here.

Paste your serial number under “search tech specs” and you will see you have an SE3.

We have already explained that third party decoders only work until iPhone 12s.

My wife's 2022 iPhone SE appears on the site and so does my old iPhone XS but my iPhone 14 Pro is not yet on the site
