FINALLYYYY!!!!! ITS OUT!!!

can't wait to order my new iMac

wish they'd hurry up with iTunes tho :-/

you would think the new iMacs would ship with iTunes11 and not the crappy iTunes that we currently have. If i got a new mac I would not want to be using what we have right now on it.

I'm not even sure what iTunes connect is

iTunes Connect is the way for members of the iOS Developer Program and Mac Developer Program to upload their apps, edit their descriptions and metadata, and view finances earned. iTunes Connect is also used for book publishers to sell their books in Apple's iBookstore.

in other words probably has nothing to do with a iTunes software update

Ahh! Thank you :)

Yes, I agree in theory, as long as you can fit it all onto one HDD.

If not then you need to control it yourself.

EDIT: Actually, I think the way that iTunes does it is very good. I tell iTunes not to organise my library, but if I do put anything into the "Automatically add it iTunes" directory then it will organise them into the main iTunes folder. That way, I have the choice as to whether I want iTunes to interfere with the files or not. Very handy.

I just wish that iTunes would allow different controls for different media. I want to organize my movies myself, while I'd like to let iTunes take care of pretty much everything else. It's a nuisance to have to remember to turn on and off the "have iTunes organize my media" depending on whether I'm adding movies or other stuff.

Also, I'd love to be able to have a central iTunes library that could be shared with all computers, such that I could choose to sync things from both the central shared library and the local library on my computer when syncing with my iPad/iPod. Instead, to the best of my knowledge, anything I want to sync with my iPad/iPod I have to pull into my local iTunes library.

With regards to iTunes 11 release, while I do understand the frustration coming from the fact that it was delayed at the end of October, the reality is that Apple has a track record of almost always releasing at the end of a month that they've said they would be releasing a piece of software in. It's frustrating, true. But if you just expect that "released in November" really means "released on Novemeber 30", then you avoid all the worry about it not being released before. And, hey, if they choose to release it on the 20th, or something, then it's a pleasant surprise. But, really, given Apple's track record with release schedules, it doesn't make sense to be so negative at this point.

so save the negativity for friday when we are all still running iTunes 10.7

i was not trying to be negative its just a possibility that it could get delayed again.. dont get your hopes up too high.

There's a possibility that Apple may announce that it's cancelled, and that they are dropping intel processors effective tomorrow, also that they are licensing iOS to whoever wants it. These are possibilities but EXTREMELY unlikely. Similarly, your constant fear of delay has no rational basis. It's extremely unlikely that it will be delayed. Relax.

yeah i need to stop checking to see if iTunes11 is out because everytime i check it is not and its bringing negativity. i really hope its out today, or tomorrow.
