I was expecting the download page or itunes store to go down before release and there is no sign of an iTunes 11 release today accept for what the WSJ claims

That actually has happened to my iPad and iPhone even from about a month ago.. Hopefully it's signifying some changes and the imminent arrival of iTunes 11.

Its these kind of errors which tend to mean things are happening. Should be some images on the apple site which start to become misplaced as well etc
most likely not iTunes11 related at all.. its a glitch with iOS 6
been doing this since iOS 6 came out.
Anyone know if Home Sharing is being ditched in this release? I wondered if the continued move to iCloud might see it disappear.
I doubt it. However, some major work would have been done underneath I would imagine. Writing from the ground up would be impossible a program with so many dependable (iOS ecosystem)
