iTunes Radio is frikkin' awesome!!

I have a lot of rare electronic music and it's all there plus awesome artist/station matches.

You're on crack! :D

I've had it happen twice that it'll play the same song 3 times in a row. It constantly stops playing and the music matching is fricken awful. I cancelled my Pandora One for this so I hope it vastly improves. It has a long ways to go.

Was having problems where it would constantly stop playing every time I opened another app (I'm airplaying from an ipad2 to a Pioneer receiver). I turn the ipad off and back on and it works alot better. Not sure if this helps or not.

As for the variety, well, not all that impressed. Keeps playing the same songs over and over even when I say NEVER play this song (I'm looking at you Nickelback, lol) or clear the history. Still the same ones over and over. I'm sure it will get better but kinda frustrating right now.

It does do well with electronica :)

Oh and my purchasing of songs on itunes has increased because of this too.

iTunes Radio SUCKS

When it was initially announced, I thought perhaps I would give up Pandora. Now that I've lived with it for a while, Pandora has nothing to fear.

My biggest complaint is that they don't play the artists I've selected. For example, in my "Pink Floyd" station, I've been treated to:

  • Nights in White Satin - Moody Blues
  • Aqualung - Jethro Tull
  • Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
  • The Logical Song - Supertramp
  • White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane

and on and on. What do all these songs have in common? NONE OF THEM ARE PINK FLOYD! With Pandora, I get a Floyd song or a Roger Waters song or a David Gilmour song every once in a while. As near as I can tell, choosing an artist is pretty much meaningless.

Bye bye stupid iTunes Radio.

Same here - the first day I'm having issues with the music stopping playing is today. Bad cell connection or iTunes Radio? Don't know. It's worked every day before today.

I've found that it sometimes plays the same song TWICE, but that song is from different albums (like the 'best of'). iTunes Radio needs to get smarter.
It does the same thing for blocked songs - You block 'Mmmmmm bop' from the Hansens and then you get the 'Mmmmmm bop (extended version)', block that, then you get the 'Mmmmm bop (concert version). etc. etc.

(just teasing about the song, no clue if THAT song is that way, but a lot of songs are)
