honestly though if its minor i'd probably just live with it.
battle damage is something to take pride in, even the Millenium falcon has some carbon scoring

When I purchased my classic Mac Pro years ago, I taped illustration boards to the two side panels to protect it from scratches. The illustration boards were custom cut to fit the dimensions of the side panels. Scratches on a brand new, expensive computer can be annoying sometimes.

Yeah 😀 Sometime ago when I visited to a design studio, in one of their shelves, I saw a steampunk keyboard, somewhat similar to the keyboard below.
