i just posted what the guy said. thats all. and on 26th well see if he was right or wrong. i am not saying it is going to happen 100% he said it i am just posting it.
this is my first post because i have a peace of information worth posting. i have had good information from this person before but it has already been on this website and i do not see no use of posting the same thing aegean and aegean.
to be clear He was 100% sure that a new macbook air is coming on 26th january. He said the most likely changes from the current model it would have are bigger capacity ssd , one more usb port , some more new features and refreshed design. HE HAS NOT SEEN IT HIM SELF.
Well, if your "Apple" employee is a salesperson I will take that piece of information a lot different than if your "Apple" employee is a Vice-President of Mobile Computers.
The problem is people post this kind of stuff on here all of the time about what a sales person working in a retail store who makes $12 per hour knows about a product coming out in a month, and those are ALWAYS incorrect.
Unless your employee is "up" the ladder or their position is very specific to the MBA itself, I doubt the info is accurate.
What I really hope is YOU are an employee that is "up" the ladder and you're sharing some cool insights with us. That seems to happen on occasion. Let's say that's the actual scenario here. PLEASE SHARE MORE!!!
What also happens is false reports that Apple is trying to test its "leak" origin problems. Let's hope that's not the situation...
Finally, you're right we will find out on the 26th how credible this post was, but 99% of the time they're completely inaccurate. Not saying that is definitely the case, but it's usually the case. Like I said before, I hope you're informer is correct.
Let's see how many other things you might be able to find the info about... if you can get your source to reveal...
I also heard that we will be getting a new form factor and something really special that's not available on any other Mac notebook right now... any chance you know what that might be?
How about the CPU, is it going to be Penryn or Arrandale? If Arrandale, does it have an integrated chipset or is it something else? If Arrandale, does it have a dedicated graphics card? Is it likely to have a ULV or CULV CPU with less power than current MBAs? If Penryn, will we get the 9400m AGAIN? Or will it be the 200M or something else?
What about the bezel? Will it have the glossy shiny bezel of hell? Or will it keep the same nice al. bezel? A glass cover? Is that too heavy? How about 16:10 or 16:9?
How about RAM? Does it have 4 GB or two RAM slots? What about the display, is it a different tech like OLED? How about the SSD? Any news if it's going to still be a 1.8" drive? How about the LIF connector? Will that change?
So, two USB ports? Any other ports like an SD Card? Will it be aluminum? Black aluminum? Plastic? Will the keyboard be a tactile display like is rumored for the tablet? Will it have a glass trackpad?
Will it be thinner? A smaller screen size? A smaller footprint? How about the price? More? Less? Any BTO options? New iLife and iWork 10 with it? Will it be true 64-bit? Or will it stick with Apple's FOS 32-bit OS X kernel?
Maybe you could ask some of these questions if you still have access from your source? This could provide some seriously valuable information for all considering the next MBA as a big financial decision/purchase.
Also, if you're an insider leaking, THANK YOU!
