New Macbook Pro 14" and 16" WiFi6 Spec?

The new MBP 14" and 16" support WiFi 6 802.11ax wireless networking but I cannot find any specification details and nobody seems to discuss about it... The M1 MBP WiFi only supports 2x2 MIMO 802.11ax at 80MHz bandwidth so 1200Mbps max speed rate.

• Do the new 2021 MBP still use a 2x2 80MHz MIMO 802.11ax WiFi?
• Or do they support 160MHz bandwidth for 2400Mbps speed rate?

I wait the first tests to know more about it.
Pls let me know if you get more info.

Ahh I would think the mbp would be the same? One can hope but with hdmi 2.0 I’m not so sold they upgraded the Wi-Fi.

Up to now there are no WiFi6 cards with more than 2x2 Spatial Streams on the market but for example the Intel AX200 ($20 card) supports 160MHz bandwidth (speed link up to 2400Mbps).
I expect that the new 2021 MBP mounts at least a 2x2 WiFi6 card that supports 160MHz bandwidth and not just 80MHz like the old one...

Apple uses Broadcom and Broadcom only supports 160MHz on their 6E chipset.

Since M1 MacBook Pro doesn't have 6E, we know it doesn't support 160MHz.

Just setting it up now. Using a UniFi WiFi 6 LR that is capable for 160mhz and 4x4. The theoretical max speed I’m seeing are the same as the rest of the M1 line up. I got a M1 Max 16”.

I can dig deeper after fully set up but looks like the new MacBook Pro won’t be getting an faster speeds than iPhones, iPads or rest of M1 line up. Sorry guys.

They definitely did not add wi-fi 6e (6ghz) which is a big bummer.

Would have been nice if they at least expanded the current capabilities for Wi-Fi 6. Like 160mhz and 4x4. Or matched the prior MacBook Pros at 3x3.
Pretty much the same capacity as all other current apple devices.

Correct they are WiFi 6 2x2 80mhz. So theoretically 1200 Mpbs. Same as every other recent apple device.

Nah, all of the AX (wifi 6) chipsets are 2x2, but some support 160mhz, in theory it's double the speed as the one Apple uses. so 2400 mpbs

So you're saying that unless it has 160mhz we won't be able to have better speeds than the M1 low endmacs ? Since I think it's confirmed the M1 pro don't have 160 bands ,IG we won't reach any higher than 1200(theorical even,cuz in my MBA M1 i reach 800-900mbps ,while using a windows laptop with 3*3 i had 1300.... honestly doesn't sound right for a high end laptop

OK, misread it... But all the Intel Macs uses AC (wifi 5), but all AX (wifi 6) laptops uses 2x2, there is one 3x3 AX chipset is available, just no one use it. Older Intel Macs with 3x3 was on AC (wifi 5) and it has the same theoretical speed of 1300 (433*3) mbps.

Now that it's confirmed that it's AX 2x2 80mhz only, then it's the same as MBA M1, speed up to 1300 (667*2) mbps theatrical speed, and you are quite lucky if you are getting real-world speed of 800-900 mbps, I can only get around 700 on a 1 gb connection.
