They ended that option many years ago. I added a matte screen protector onto my iPad Pro M1 and am very happy with not only the diminished reflectance, but also the texture which makes writing on it even more pleasurable.

what is BTO.. gloss option only
Sorry, BTO is Build To Order.

I think only Glass option. I prefer matte so I'm looking at my work projects and not my reflection. Apple have this option for their Pro Display XDR, which they call nano-texture glass...

Do you have a link to the matte screen protector you mention?

Think it's had it's day, buy yourself one of the privacy screens available on Apple store, does the job.

Which ones, got a link?

Found the Belkin & Kensington ones - AUD $110 yipes. Do they work and dull the screen colors?

Kensington and Belkin and they have notches 😛 Although these are for the older models, so you might have to wait until they update for the new releases.

The Kensington one is great, I use it on my MBP 13 2020 and the it dulls the glossy, but not the brightness. It's magnetic, so you can take if off very easily.

Yeah, hasn't been available as an option for MBPs since the unibody series, pre-retina. It's best just to get a matte screen protector if you really want matte.
I use one with my M1 MBP and it works fine. It wasn't very expensive in the $10-$20 range. I also don't need to worry about getting any keyboard marks on the original coating that is on the screen. Great!

The nano textured glass is an extra £1,000(!) as an option - whatever you think of that as a premium, to spend it on a laptop screen that is more vulnerable to breakage and is likely to be replaced much sooner feels like an option very few people would spring for...

I miss the matte screens. My first 15" MBP had that option and it was really really nice. The nano glass sounds awesome but also super high maintenance if I recall correctly.

Ok, might wait for the new versions. Not cheap though!

I need for my GLASSY iMac too

High maintenance, in what way?

If I recall, those screens had to be cleaned using a special solution and cloth otherwise Apple would void your warranty.
Got a link?

Special solution?? Special cloth - the one that's on sale for like USD $19 smackers?
