I was just about to pull the trigger on buying one of these until I came across this post. This is inexcusable and Apple needs to fix this issue.

Lighten up people :D

My i7 came without dust on the screen, but it developed it after a few weeks. I started noticing it increases every time my cat walks by. I have had it since 11/15/09. Do you think Apple will exchange it for me ? :D

.........

I'm glad some people caught on.

This thread proves my overall point that people around here need to lighten up a little and enjoy what they have.

What kind of life do people live when they buy a new computer and spend hours trying to find a reason to bash it?

Change your thread title to communicate that it's a joke please.

Clearly, people are not reading enough of your OP or the thread to realize the point you're trying to make. You are inadvertantly misleading people to believe that this is yet another iMac problem. It may cause a skimmer to decide against a going with an iMac, or with Mac altogether.

I guess it would their fault for being lazy and not reading the thread, but lazy people need Macs too. :D

Dude this whole forum is full of posts that make people not want to buy an Imac.

Yellow Tinge? I think I saw one or two cases where the yellow tinge is actually real.

Loud Hard Drive? How many people actually had one? I bet they just convinced themselves they did.

The fact that so many people don't understand my post makes it even funnier.

But many of those posts are real issues. Your isn't real.

Yellow Tinge? I think I saw one or two cases where the yellow tinge is actually real.

How many iMacs have you actually seen to make a statement like that about the yellow tinge? I guess you've actually seen thousands or tens of thousands of iMacs in person to be able to come to that conclusion......

This could be a real issue. Who are you to say it isn't?

It doesn't make it funnier- it makes it misleading.

I know your question was directed at someone else, but I have seen a total of nine 27" iMacs in person and all of them were flawless. By no means does this indicate whether or not there is a serious problem out there, but it's enough for me to come to the conclusion that everything is ok. ;)

Unfortunately, this forum has become overrun with a trash-heap of whiney complaints. It has evolved into a self-propagating fear that is, quite frankly, out-of-control. For people that actually enjoy using their iMac and want to talk about it, well...this forum is practically dead. (which is really unfortunate)

OMG - I feel left out...

I read the original post and was horrified...

You see, I have a late 2006 white MacBook, with upgraded RAM and HD. It's got 10.6.2 and runs with no problems at all. It's been all over the world with me, yada yada...

All was fine in my little Zen garden of 'Mac'ness...

Now I notice, since coming across the original post, that I don't have any of this 'dust' of which you speak...

Where, in all that is holy, can I get some of this magical substance?

Or will I just have to make do with the frequent dog hair and grubby thumb print?

Please, put me out of my misery...
;)
