I tried to place an order online and the upgrade was in my basket at the correct price. I went all through the checkout process and at the final hurdle it told me I had already ordered the upgrade. No order went into the system and my basket was emptied.

This is in the UK. MBP was ordered a couple of weeks ago and delivered last week. I tried the online chat function on the site and had this very confusing conversation. Anyone in the UK definitely managed to place an order online?

I placed the order successfully a couple of weeks ago in the UK. It doesn't seem as big a deal though as when I got the leopard upgrade, as SNow Leopard will only be £20, so not that big a saving- can't complain though, any money saved on apple stuff is a bonus!

I wish it said a date other than just "september"

I ordered mine too but do I need to send any documentation to Apple? Looks like their terms and conditions have some statements about it.

Finally placed mine online, I had been trying for a few weeks. But I took advice used I.E and it worked fine. Strange normally firefox is fine. Oh well got two copies for my 2 MBP's.

So I've been trying for 2 days to order the damn thing. At first it was not showing up in my cart. Went on IE and it showed up with 7. I updated it to one, everything went fine except when I got to check out. It said I have ordered too many. Hit Apple Chat to see if they could help. A lady named Yolanda said it isn't possible to preorder SL yet and I can't preorder it until it is released. Makes absolutely no sense. Preorder when it's released?

Ugh this is annoying.

I had exactly the same experience - I posted the apple chat transcript earlier in this thread. In the end, I kept on trying and finally got an order in a couple of hours later. Don't give up!
