New "Nike Air VaporMax" sport bands

There was a suggestion (by Nike, in a tweet), early on, that these were a one-time limited thing, and wouldn't be back. I think that's kind of a stupid idea, but I'm not Nike. It wasn't clear, at the time, if the person answering questions for Nike actually knew what they were talking about.

The Violet Dust/Plum Fog band is really lovely, BTW. I'm wearing it at the moment. I think it's my favorite of the Nike bands. Works well with Space Gray.

There's a for-sale forum here on MacRumors, as well as a Reddit group called AppleBandMarket that does a brisk trade in secondhand sales of Apple Watch Bands of all sorts. You may be able to find a "new in package" or "immediately decided I didn't care for it" one there.
 
I asked about the blue orbit/gamma one in a UK store yesterday. They seemed pretty adamant they would be getting more stock soon.
 
Really? I just checked stock on the Australian Apple Store - it's true!

All VaporMax 38mm apart from Obsidian/Black - Sold Out!
All VaporMax 42mm apart from Obsidian/Black and Light Violet/White - Sold Out!

Happy I ordered Orbit Blue on a whim.

I haven't seen too many photos of the light violet nike band...I snagged it the other day so here it is. IMO its awesome with a really unique color combo. I'm a guy who appreciates a good shade of pink tho-

The blue colour is alot different than the Midnight Blue as well. Midnight Blue has hints of purple in it whereas the best way I can describe the Obsidian band is very much like a dark Royal Blue (pretty much like the one I've indicated to below):

...well, after wearing my Nike band for about a week, I have to say that I have now gone back to my Midnight Blue Apple Nylon band.

In the UK at the moment, we are having some really nice warm weather with temperatures over the 20 degrees mark (some days have hit 29 degrees!) however, I am just finding that my wrist sweats way too much with the Nike band on.

:( I know it has holes in the band which is supposed to help with ventilation but it's just quite uncomfortable wearing this thick rubber (yes, I know its not rubber but europlaster or something like that!! :oops::oops:) band in direct sunlight - my wrist just sweats too much with this thing on!!! The Nylon band allows my wrist to breath so I have been using this band in the warm weather.

I've noticed the same thing with sweating and the Nike band, I think a hot day is just going to make a person sweat no matter how many holes are in your Watch band. It's kinda gross, but when I'm at work and it's really bad I've seen the holes in the band all fill up with sweaty water, yuck! Anyway, I've found the nylon to be a bit more breathable but I still love wearing the Nike band.

Are you wearing the Nike band too tight?
 
I love the look of these bands. The lavendar one is great and the gamma blue is awesome. If anyone is interested in either trading or selling their gamma blue 42mm band, pm me.

Kind of a shame they are sold out, but kinda cool that they are releasing “limited edition” bands. Keeps thing fashinable.

Just picked up the Blue Orbit/Gamma Blue for my 38mm from the Apple Store in El Paso. It was the last of the Vapor Max Nike bands they had in stock, and it was in the back of the store completely ignored. I only knew they had it because the Apple Store app showed it as being in stock at that store.

I often wonder what happens to returned items to Apple Stores within 14 days. Must be a few virtually new Sport Bands never resold...

Yeah I was just thinking about this. Where do they go? I wonder if they get wholesale to places like Best Buy for open box or to those sites like cex.
 
Does anyone have the blue orbit/ blue gamma nike band they might want to let go off? Or may know where I can get one?

The nylon bands are very comfortable.
I love the look of the Nike bands with my edition but the comfort of the nylon trumps the Nike band.

I didn’t think that color was that hot lol. I saw nike selling them when I first bought my Apple Watch in August. But I did get the SG one so idk lol

They are burned and melted and never heard from again!!!!
 
Im looking for one 38mm Blue Orbit/Gamma Blue here in EU, but cant find anything.
