I also noticed I had 5 mail items at most display, but now everything is there. Any way to edit that back?
The controls over how many items can be displayed for an app have been removed back in iOS 9 even (kind of a similar option removal from iOS 9 to iOS 9).

You can't. You could try reporting this to Apple if you want it back.
And where? Is it taken seriously?

Why are they removing features, options, jacks...????
[doublepost=1473809415][/doublepost]Great. Notifications just became totally useless for me.

BTW: Why is it already called iOS 10.0.1? I thought the OTA Update Issue was with the Apple servers and not the update itself.

The release was 10.0.1 from the beginning (that is the GM that was released to developers and public beta testers last week).

Regarding if they take it seriously, myself and apparently quite a few others reported the date being removed from Notification Center earlier in the beta period and it was put back. Meanwhile some other requests haven't been addressed yet, I guess it just depends on how they feel about the "issue" at Apple/if they have time to fix it.

iOS 10 has been 10.0.1 since the GM last week. The iPhone 7 models might have the final 10.0 on them.

To be fair it's hard to say if the feedback about the date really had anything to do with it being back--it certainly could have, just as the date could have been something that was added back in a build by a developer due to a bug fix or some other internal change even before and/or unrelated to that feedback. That said, given that aside from posting in places like this the only other options that are available are providing feedback and/or entering bugs, it's certainly worthwhile to do it for something that isn't right or someone wants to see changed.

I left my feedback. I had banking, alarms, etc. at the top so I could view those items (if something happened) immediately. Now I can't find anything in that mess, hopefully my feedback is taken.

The GM was 10.0.1... and today's release is the same build as the GM... the issue with OTA updates WAS a server-side issue, which has been fixed.

And why in the world is it not possible anymore to change the order of the apps in notifications? What do I care if e.g. AirBNB send me a notification just before my CC company. Who is more important? The one who sent it first.

Well done Apple. Removing feature for feature, can't wait what's next.

True, either way it's still a good idea to let Apple know.

Unfortunately things like that happened in previous iOS releases and happened with this one too. Hopefully they'all bring back at least some of the options.
