unfortunately, apple + X doesn't work in the finder like it does in every other program. Just open two finder windows.

I noticed it does move stuff if you just drag it around on the same disk from folder to fold. However it appears like OS X likes to copy if you drag from one storage device to another.:(. A lot of what I'm doing is moving stuff from one drive to my extra storage drive. I've been just making a copy and then removing the files/folders from the original location. Looks like that's the way to go.

One thing: Give it a good name.

You set this in System Preferences>Sharing

On top of it :)

Thanks for the replies guys I'll try to get some pics up at some point either tomorrow or Wednesday :).

After you click to drag an item in finder....if OS X is going to copy the item, you'll notice the little green circle with the plus sign. While holding the mouse button down, if you press and hold the Apple key, it will move the file instead of copy (the green circle will go away).

Also, make sure you setup Exposé to use hot corners and alternate mouse buttons....it's a great time saver. I have all 4 corners of the screen hot corners to show the dashboard, all windows, app windows, and desktop. I also setup so holding the Apple key and middle clicking shows all windows, and the Apple key and a right click show all application windows.

I recently just switched to my new Mac Pro last month from life long Windows. It's awesome. Just got CS3 today, so my transition is complete!

Sorry for the delay guys :(. Between our mail server's death at work and my old point and shoot digital camera going out, I've had a tough time getting these pics together!

However the good news is that they are brought to you from my new Canon XTi and Aperture :)

I tried to get good shots of the upgrades (Video/Ram/HD) however the HD pics pretty much sucked so I decided to post without them :). (You've seen one HD, you've seen them all anyways.)

Alright, I'm loving my Mac more and more ever day. Enjoy the pictures!
