It's too minimalistic for me. Perhaps that's what you were going for, which is just fine as they're your photos and your site!

You mentioned Picturelife and Squarespace. Have you checked out what SmugMug and Zenfolio can do to create a photography web site? I like a lot of the templates they have plus you can customize to your heart's content!

Squarespace is a webbuiling site. Any easy for me to drag and drop or just work with templates because I havne't the slightest clue about HTML or what I'm doing. I just play with it until it looks right to me eye.

Anyways, I've choosing a new look. And added a blog post.

On the blog, does anyone know how to remove the background images?

By the way, that's for all the suggestions and tips. Keep it coming.

Then you should definitely give SmugMug a try. There's no HTML unless you really, really want to do that. Otherwise it's just dragging & dropping your profile banner, a text box that you can then type & format using standard word processing toolbar buttons, dragging & dropping in galleries, etc.

It's really easy to do. Here's my really simple site and I did all that in less than 10 minutes. Typing out the text took more time than setting up the entire site! My site: http://photos.chicphotography.com/

FYI...the "Browse" menu option on your site doesn't appear to do anything - on my iPad anyway.

One option that I would like to see is the ability to flick through what images I am about to see rather than have to go through all of them in slideshow view.

I don't know how many shots there are in the slideshow and if I want to know if there is anything that stands out to me I have to go through them all without knowing where the end is.

Equally, if my computer/iphone cocks up and reloads I'm back to square one trying to find the photo I like!

My phone is a very simple hand made jobby but I created it so you can quickly see all of the pictures I have posted quickly and then if you want to see anything bigger you have the option to click and see it full screen.
