Thats a no. You don't see the difference.
.

Ok let me spell it out for you. Yes my usage is low on that screenshot, i agree i was not using the phone much and yes that will give more battery life. agree? However on the stock rom and kernel i could not get even half of that standby time regardless of usage. Comprehend?

I get 5-6 hours of screen-on time with my Razr Maxx HD. And that's with everything turned on, regardless of whether its in-use or connected or not (wifi on all day, connected or not, Bluetooth on all day, GPS on, automatic map location reporting on, data sync on, LTE on, screen brightness at auto, etc).

It's amazing. The thing I hated most about Android phones is having to micromanage every service and sensor to eek out the last possible milliamp of power from the battery. Since I got the Maxx HD, I can finally experience what an Android phone is supposed to do - and actually use it at full potential all day long.

I will never buy another Android phone with a "standard" battery. And carrying a spare, honestly, I always found to be a huge hassle.

That thing also only has to power a dual core CPU making its insane battery that much better.

Believe what you want lol. No skin off my nose.

----------

Well im sorry to say but my usage has not changed but my SOT and Standby has doubled since using my current rom and kernel combo. Before jumping to conclusions perhaps you should actually try the combo im using????

----------

Yes you are right i have not used the phone to much but even when not using the phone at all i could not get 2 days standby with stock kernel let alone at 50 percent charge.

You probably have mobile data turned off. My roommate doesn't have a data plan so she turns off data on her galaxy ace. She's can get 5-6 days between charges.

All talk and no action to back up so far. So the verdict is all you say is lies and you don't get that 5hr sot at all, which is expected anyway.

Whatever makes you sleep at night ;) You resort to calling someone a liar who is trying to help people get better battery life, shows the kind of person you are...

Seeing as how it was from a while ago we have no proof that you didn't have a mid-day recharge. And a mid-day recharge makes much more sense than a single charge of a 2100 mAh battery getting that SOT. And typically the explanation that makes the most sense is the correct one.

lol, see no matter what i post you wont believe so just do what you want, i even told you what rom and kernel i was using so you could try it for yourself but its obvious you don't really want to know how to get better battery life. There was no mid-day charge btw. I get around 6 hours SOT all the time so im a happy camper either way. :p Anyone that actually wants better battery life feel free to try the Rom/Kernel combo im using, feel free to pm me for the settings i use.

Well, it doesn't match with the recent one you posted....

I mean, how hard is it to post both overall usage AND screen on together to show the real story? All you are showing is bits and pieces carefully selected...

I agree with you two. There is no possible way you can get 7.5 hours on a single charge from a nexus 4 no matter what you so.

That screenshot seems to be from a Samsung Touchwiz device, not stock Nexus.

Is it the Note 2? The Touchwiz bar seems very large.

On screen nav buttons. He mentioned it is a custom ROM. But I still think the most probable explanation is that he charged it mid-day without taking it completely to 100%.

Hi, I get 3-4 hours on screen time(half brightness, 3G mostly off, bluetooth always off, GPS mostly off) on my Nexus 4 with franco kernel, are there any kernels that can give me 5 hours with they way I have my phone set up?

Okay mate, with a new update of Google Now recently, the battery life has been consumed (very much like GN on iOS) by location access, not GPS but the option below this. Battery life should return to normal. If not, it is your Kernel/flashing career. hehehehe flashing. hehehhe rooting. HHAAHHAHAHA immature.

Most apps don't even fully take advantage of dual cores.

That argument is becoming less and less true. Most games do and ever since Jelly Bean, basic Android OS functions have done a better job at using all available resources for smoother performance.
