I have rather large hands so have gotten the cradling thing down pretty good now. I even was able pass my "airport test" where I needed to text while running through an airport--Note 2 in one hand and carryon in the other. I did surprisingly well. While I could certainly use my iPhone easier with one hand the more-advanced keyboard I use on my N2 more than made up for that. Far fewer mistakes.

I did buy, and really like, Switftkey 3--and I love the new flow feature. But, I seem to do better with Swype. Never thought I would say that as I just didn't think I could get used to it. Swiftkey Flow is similar but it seems to get my words wrong a lot more frequently than Swype. I was showing a friend how fast I can "type" with Swype and she thought it was a trick. Till I asked her to say a random phrase and--zoom--there it was.

As for my Nexus 4... I just sold it so that chapter is now closed. It was a great phone, albeit not good enough battery life for me, and it showed me how good Android has come to be.

Basically it is like swype.

The problem for me is it that it is combined with the very-good guessing-what-you-meant-to-write that Swiftkey does. So I will often trace a word very carefully and it will think I meant something else. In Swype I just zoom through it and it gets the word nearly every time. It's not that Swiftkey flow is bad--it is very good. It's just that I seem a bit faster with Swype. Also like that I can instantly add words to the dictionary easier, and that there are more than just 3 choices for possible words.

Somewhat related I like the speech-to-text feature in Swype a little better than stock Android (though it needs a data connection whereas stock will revert to on-device recognition).

Another thing that really ticks me off about Switftkey is that it will not stay the default keyboard after a reboot. While they blame Google for this (apparently in jb during bootup paid apps are checked after the keyboard default is set), I still blame them for not coming up with an alternate method. The trial version of Swiftkey, for example, will stay the default after a reboot. The version I paid for is less capable than the trial version. They should, as many have been clamoring for, let the trial version use some sort of key or whatnot to make it not expire for paid customers.
