That 3 week time is for some people who ordered within 30 minutes of it going on sale! I expect it will be mid January before anyone else would get one since initial orders are so far back.
But no! There is no queue, so once those current orders are fulfilled, it's anyone's game. What sucks is that you could have spent hours trying to order, and then have someone swoop in just by chance the moment more arrive and get one.

There should be an order queue.

Just talked to google play. They said since I ordered early at 11:37 AND I only ordered one that I was not likely to be in the 3 week delayed shipment crowd. She said it mostly applies to people that ordered more than one nexus 4. I hope she's right.

11:37 pst ? Do you think i should drop a email or call ?

I am in need of a new phone, I like the Nexus line. My options are buy it off Craigslist for extra $150 premium, or just say F it, and get the Note II ?
Option C would be to buy a used other model to tide you over for a month or so.

However, it's hard to say anything against the Note II except that it'll have carrier crap on it, but probably not too much.

Surely he means 11:37 EST - within 5 minutes of it going live.

Nice. When did you order again? I still don't even have a shipping email let alone a tracking number.
FWIW, it seems a number of us ordered the cellular N7 and haven't gotten emails, and those supposedly didn't sell out until the next day, so I just think that, really, not having an email means almost nothing.

When I ordered my original N7 in the middle of September (so, when I was probably one of about five orders that day), I didn't get a shipping email until about 20 minutes before it showed up. I'm not saying that will happen, but I'm saying that the shipping email, or lack thereof, doesn't really mean much when dealing with the clusterpluck that is Google Play Hardware Ordering.

Edit: forgot a word.

whatever floats your boat man.....obviously you are right since you received your notification email.

oh wait.....never mind.

I was just trying to help which is why i shared. next time i will not share since people like you are going to argue down to the hours and minutes.

Be patient and enjoy your wait!

Man, you are so cool because you got your tracking number. I wish I were as cool as you. Too bad you can't understand the way shipping packages work. Or maybe you think that because something works one way for you it must work the same for everybody else? I didn't think anybody would actually be able to believe such a logical fallacy, but whatever floats your boat man.

A majority of people have not gotten tracking numbers even though you claim that Google would have done so by now. So keep thinking whatever you want.

So lets get back to what this thread is really about, the nexus 4, instead of you trying to get off topic and continually proving yourself wrong in every aspect. If you want to continue such a pathetic discussion to fill some gaping hole inside yourself, lets continue the conversation elsewhere.

I ordered, or rather finally got my order accepted, at 10:05AM MST. That is the time listed on my order info.

Looks like my baby has left Louisville, thankfully. The natives were getting ready to storm the ups compound. ;)

Like others. My order for the nexus 4 is back ordered. I ordered and had it in my cart at 1132am eastern time. Kept getting getting messages.

Finally order was processed at 1138am eastern time. What weird is I got error message that said to call google but it also gave me my order number.

I kinda of gave up. But I called Amex and said I was shipping to another address cause my wife thinks I have a phone addiction!

Amex said they authorized the charge. Than bam. I get email confirmation at 1158am eastern time.

It said estimated shipping on Nov 15th.

Than this afternoon I get the dreaded email it's been backordered up to 3 weeks.

They are waiving shipping charges. But I feel with this fiasco they should give me the free bumper also. I ordered it for $20 along with the phone.

This launch has been a mess. I have my iPhone 5 as main phone so can wait 3 weeks.

But I'd like to use it on my spare line with a $10 data plan cause ATT doesn't sell the phone. (Not that I abuse data anyways, rarely use even 1GB data even on my iPhone LTE 5.)

I ordered 11:53am est (it was accepted at that time). No email or tracking. Still in pending. No back ordered email as of yet.

Weirdly enough, the lack of a back-order email might actually be a good sign, despite the lack of any other emails as well. Can you check to see if your card has been charged?

Michael

If I was there I would storm the building too!! Lol

Looks like you ordered after me. Whatever happened to doing things in order google? ;-)

Looks like UPS is treating my shipped date as the 14th so therefore two-day shipping us tomorrow. Interesting.

I'm hoping it's same for those who have not gotten back order email.

Sad I missed the first round of preorders (server errors) now that some orders have been delayed 3 weeks it makes my Nexus 4 so far off! :(

Fingers crossed it all speeds along and they can fulfill demand quicker than they estimate!
