Thank God I was able to sell my 64gb white N6 for 400 a few days before they announced that deal.

So I posted this in the 10.11 forum, but I wanted to see if any here are having the same issue. Basically none of my android devices are recognized by my Mac any more, via ADB, PTP, or MTP.

I decided to go with the HTC One M9 given that it was on special which worked out to be the same price as a Nexus 32GB model. I put in a 128GB microsd card and updated it to Android 5.1 - everything is going well and I haven't had any issues with the camera that so many have moaned about in the past. Having had a look at the iPhone 6S I can't help but go 'meh' and realised that I made the right decision when I did especially if we end up finding out it still has a pathetically small 1GB RAM.
Totally agree WRT the iPhone 6S.

Congrats on your M9, enjoy it! :)

The Nexus 6 remains my favourite Nexus of all time, but I can't get over Google's anti-MicroSD stance, the Nexus 6 with a 128GB MicroSDXC and 32GB built-in mem would have been perfect. Ah well.

Since I am on Google Fi I am keeping my N6, but will be getting a 6S for my AT&T line. I get the best of both worlds. :D

wow, I just literally posted mines for $285 on Swappa... Am I really gonna have to drop the price to $200!?!?! Bummer, I paid full price on it too.
Bummer, but truth is I'd buy the new one for $299 if I were interested in it. Never know, someone might bite at $275.

Sold it last night for $250; I lost but something is better than nothing.

I picked up the Moto X PE and well, this is a nice pure android device. Much nicer than the Nexus 6.

Doubt I'm gonna keep it cause I got my eye on the Note 5. But once root becomes available and development kicks in, it's worth considering.

I believe Motorola has sales towards the end of the year and if price drops, its totally worth it.

It's been going pretty good but I'm going to gift my M9 to mum given that she has an ancient M7 - will make for a nice Christmas present. I've ordered the iPhone 6S 128GB and the Bookbook case has arrived so I'm looking forward to my iPhone to be delivered next week some time (my carrier is aiming for around 25/9 but it could arrive sooner or later depending on the circumstances).

I assume some of you techies are running Marshmallow now. Poor me will have to wait for OTA T-mobile.

Not necessarily, you can download the factory image on Google's Developer site. It is the same exact version as what T-Mobile will release. Marshmallow unified all he carriers to one version now. So there is no T-Mobile exclusive only image or OTA. Same goes with Project Fi.

There are instructions on how to install it manually without having to unlock the bootloader, but it's highly recommended to unlock your bootloader. Outside of that, it's just a series of commands to send to your device that will install it. There is a BAT file in the factory image that will automate the installation. Keep in mind though, the BAT file will wipe your data. At least i'm pretty sure. There is also shell file for those that are on Mac's to automate as well.

I was going to sell the N6 and get the Moto X Pure. When I saw what the N6 was going for trying to sell it, I decided against it.

At least I'll have Marshmallow up and running soon though. I am not going for the other new Nexus smartphones either as the scenario would be the same and I'd get little for the N6 so might as well keep it. It isn't like it isn't a good smartphone, just the size is a bit outrageous.

Tick tock. In a word, ridiculous! I know I don't have to wait to update to Marshmallow but it is still ridiculous.

ROM's have had 6.0 for a week now. Try Chroma or PureNexus, can't go wrong with either one of those.

Just curious, but who owns a Nexus phone, and doesn't at least #1 root it immediately out of the box the day you bought it, and also flash official updates, or even custom ROM's ?
