Sorry to beat a dead horse but what's the largest size microSD these can take? I have a 128gb in mine but would like to get a bigger card
I'm currently using a 256gb without issue. Which is higher than what was recommended (of course that was like 2015). I've heard tale of 500+ working just fine but I can't speak to that. I've used the 256gb for sometime though and haven't had problem. its a SanDisk Extreme Plus 256GB SDXC Card

Thanks. I think I'll try something larger and report back if not default to the 256 :D

I have a 256 GB. My guess is it will support any size supported by the OS, but cannot say for over 256 GB.

If the poster wants a card to fit in a Nifty Drive the Transcend won't since it is a short SD card.
Hm, not sure what to tell you, except that it fits in mine... I suppose it's not 100% flush with the side of the laptop, but the piece of plastic that is protruding is less than 1mm thick, and it serves the purpose of being something you can get a fingernail under to remove the card. Attaching a photo for reference in case it helps anyone...

The confusion comes because the Nifty Minidrive is an adater and uses a micro sd card for removable storage, unlike the Transcend which has the storage built in to the device. The Transcend will not fit into a Minidrive. I’ve owned both and they are fine solutions but different approaches.

Ah, I see, my mistake!
