Just bought a Nikon D40 and I'm extremely pleased with it. My sister (photography student) has the D80, and of course, its plain awesome, still the D40 is quite powerful and once you know how to use it you'll get awesome pictures. I have several pics with both cameras if someone here wishes me to post 'em.
