Since *LTD* believes iOS is the future of gaming, he's thinking Nintendo should've changed up their business model by porting their exclusive IP to other platforms (basicallly, iOS). He's arguing if they don't do this, they won't survive because he thinks the iPad is gonna replace consoles and the iPhone is gonna replace handhelds.

Seriously? The iPad is never ever going to be in a situation to take over consoles. At least not in this decade. And probably not the next.

An ipad would be perfect to emulate Nintendo DS, as its big enought to emulate the view screen and the touch screen....

iOS may take over a big part of casual gaming (and already has a pretty sizable stake there), but I don't see it taking over gaming proper unless Apple makes a console or sells wireless controllers for their supposed television or something like that. There's still a huge depth and quality gap, to me, between the best iPhone / iPad games and the best DS games. I mean, seriously, there are many GBA and GBC games that are so good that they're still worth playing.

But if Apple did release controllers for a TV with a credible processor... that could change everything.

So can I say a Nintendo simulator on Apple products won't be realized in the next fifty years or so?

And the youtube video is no longer available.
It's extremely doubtful, but never say never- Nintendo could go the way of Sega, but they won't go down without a fight.
That and Mario, Mario Kart. Mario Kart DS is still one of the best selling games on that console and it's 5 years old (doesn't help that it's an insanely great game). If that doesn't help there is rumoured to be a new Pokemon 3DS game for Spring next year, so Autumn for the rest of the world.
Yeah, I love Mario Kart DS. I'll probably jump onboard with the 3DS once Mario Kart comes out- hopefully the rumoured port of Majora's Mask will become a reality too.

The 3DS started selling a lot better in Australia with the price drop, hopefully for Nintendo that trend will continue worldwide. If not, like you said, Pokemon will be just around the corner.

Macheadlll I think it was?
Not to make you look silly mate but I run a Gameboy colour and Gameboy Advance on my iPhone 4 running Sonic Advance 3 at full spec with a smooth as **** framerate and thats a fast and graphically advanced game for GBA.
Why you seem to think iPhones can't handle GBA is beyond me. I'm running SA 3, Pokemon Emerald, Somic Pinball Party and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance without a hitch.
This thing is definitely capable of running DS coding given the graphical advancements of games like Chaos Rings 2 which would run fine on DS or Eternal Legacy which would likely cop slowdown on a DS.
