Is it better for gaming than a PC?
Non-gaming PC? Yes. Gaming PC? No.

I get what you're going for with this comment, but its misleading. PCs get all AAA games beside certain console exclusives. iPads get basically no AAA games so you're stuck using cloud based gaming to get those which have limited games and is still very much a beta.

I get what you're going for with this comment, but its misleading.
My point is that saying a dedicated gaming device is inherently better than a broader purpose device is evidently wrong. Alternatively I have a ‘Game & Watch’ I will happily swap you for an iPad if you like. :)

Anyhow, my position is (as I stated up thread) that it is about the games you want to play, and that is what any potential buyer should be thinking through when deciding which option to go for.

And sharing my personal experience that the compromise* of the Switch didn’t make me want to play games on it over other platforms.

* design compromises in a non-pejorative sense - decisions on screen size primarily.
