What about the Planar PXL2790MW? Someone mentioned it over in the peripherals forum and think it is the only fused display besides the iMac.

Decided to try the Planar myself, and while it was a close call vs the TBD, the Planar will be returned. The Planar fused display had less glare/reflections, but the TBD rendered clearer text, which to me was more important.

If one isn't judging them next to each other, both are very very clear, sharp and bright.

I have the planar right next to an apple led Cinema Display. I can't tell the difference. But my eyes are getting old.

Yes, I ordered and am using two of the AsusPA279Q's with my rMBP via the Thunderbolt ports right now, and am really liking them so far.

I was wondering in what mode you've been running the monitors. In particular, have you been able to get the sRGB and aRGB modes to work? If so, how? I found a workaround (see above) and am curious to see if there are any others.

I have running one or two games with it briefly this week (most of my time was spent setting back the 6 month old Time Machine back-up of my deceased iMac and having Time Machine then clean up the old back-ups and putting back in a new one and putting my photo library on the SSD, upgrading my applications, etc.) and I don't notice any ghosting.

I hope to be able to do some photo and video work with it over the weekend.
