Hey Beckett,

I too bought an official retail version of Windows 10 for my nMP. It should still work. Again, I know it's a pain, but it might be worth trying over again - i.e., either using Guru3D to remove all the drivers, or making a whole new Windows 10 Partition.

Without CCC I doubt you have CrossfireX working. I know CrossfireX didn't work on my computer until I got CCC installed, restarted the computer, had Windows do a minor AMD update, and then restarted again. I then had to enable Crossfire in CCC.

I Tryed the Guru3D uninstaller option an redo the whole process again. But That didnt change anything.I am still stuck with this AMD update error.

Actually it was so tricky having windows 10 installed on thunderbolt drive that I prefer waiting.

New Bootcamp Drivers for windows 10 are now available. Everything works perfectly ;)

Glad you got it working! How was the performance with the new drivers? I'm debating on whether or not I should upgrade mine too. I just don't want to screw anything up after I got everything working…

The newest driver from Bootcamp works, but there will be no update for the next few mounths like the driver before.

The question is how can we use the actual drivers for windows 10 not bootcamp, or is there now a way I overlocked how to install it right?

After meddling with the old drivers, a messy Bootcamp installation and all sort of problems i decided to get rid of it all and start over.

1. Clean your Bootcamp partitions, start over
2. Get your Win 10 image and start Bootcamp assistant. let it make the drive, but do not download the support software.
2. Download Bootcamp support software manually and copy the folders to the stick.
3. Install Win10 , do it custom and turn everything off (no wonder it's free, E.T. wanted to phone home less)
4. Run the Bootcamp installer and watch how it fails to install the AMD drivers.
5. Get all windows updates, reboot a couple of times
6. NOW run the Apple updater which will give you QT,iTunes,iCloud and TAAATAAA the all new driver set for Win10 including working drivers for the Dx00 cards, including Crossfire and all goodies.

Get Acronis and make an image of your windows, it will never be as shiny as right now :)

Weren't the D700s getting in the 10000 score range normally? I'm not convinced we're getting the best out of these bootcamp drivers.

So I wish I never installed the new Bootcamp drivers. I checked Device Manager and the D700s are indeed showing as D700s (before they showed as RADEON R9 200 SERIES). I noticed a substantial drop in Framerate during gaming, however -- I was getting over 100 fps on Tomb Raider with max everything expect hair works and now I'm down to 94 consistently during the benchmark. I was also anywhere from 90-120 fps in Battlefield and now I'm down to 60-80.

I tried using Guru3D to remove the new drivers and then I went through the process of installing the old ones again using the .cab file posted earlier in this thread. I managed to get it reinstalled fine, but I'm still not seeing the numbers I once did.

Kind of frustrating. Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 are the most affected by the change. GTA V still plays very comparable to my GTX 980 Ti SC.

very interesting...
Can i ask you to get the Futuremark test and run it on your system before and after the downgrade, please ?

Quick question:

Is the AMD FirePro Control Centre different from the normal CCC? I ask because I don't remember CCC having "AMD FirePro Control Centre" in big letters the first time I installed everything...and I'm wondering if it's this version of CCC that's caused the framerate decline.

So i discovered that it's Apple's drivers that change things to the FirePro Control Centre instead of the regular Catalyst Control Centre.

I used Guru3D to uninstall all the drivers again...and I repeated it twice just to be sure. I seem to have got the drivers back to how they were...but I'm still not getting the same performance I once was. It doesn't matter so much because I'm getting 55-70 fps on Battlefield 4 at 1600p on ultra with 4x MSAA...so it's bloody good enough. It's just disappointing because I did have better numbers at one point.

Oh well...

I'm getting around 9300 in FireStrike too. The majority of the FireStrike tests with the D700s are in the 10500 range. I assume we're not getting the same performance because of Windows 10 or the drivers currently available.

The biggest problem with Crossfire when compared to a single card is that in some cases it works brilliantly, and in other cases the game or the drivers make the performance suffer.

I have the problem that after the upgrade to windows 10 with the original bootcamp driver - the system dosen't shutdown correctly. Like in this Thread.

So I want to install the 15.8 catalyst driver. But is there a working method for this like in windows 7/8 that i get the 7900er back and fully working with crossfire?
