No 1.83 GHz MacBook Pro's shipping yet?

I was wondering if anyones 1.83 GHz were shipping yet, I know that the announcement said that the 1.83's were going out this coming week (monday) & that the 2.0's were going out this week. But there are 2.16's going out & they said those weren't going out for a while. :confused:

Sorry if there's a thread on this already, but I didn't see one.
 
Mine hasnt shipped as of yet. They havent even charged my card either. I did the Apple credit thing so I dont have to pay for 3 months. Not sure if that should affect the time of charge or not. I ordered 5 pm Eastern on Jan 10th.
 
Eh, hopefully something will happen tomorrow.
OR lucky tuesday. It is weird because people who ordered a week ago are already getting shipments...I hope that with the 1.83's we get ours as quick as the 2.0's. I ordered on January 27 btw.
 
Still waiting here on my 1.83, i believe 2.0's first week then the 1.83s the following week was mentioned somewhere, im hopeful for tuesday/wednesday time (earlier would be great! i have a 28th estimate like most at the moment) CTO with 7200 hd.

Ordered asap after macworld on the 10th of jan so i should be fairly near the front...
 
still waiting on my 1.83 as well. 1GB ram and 7200 hd. 2/28 ship date. ordered 1pm PST jan. 10.
 
Apple's Feb. 14 press release said they would begin shipping the 2.0ghz computers this past week and begin shipping the 1.83ghz computers this coming week. You should probably start getting shipping notices in the next few days.

I really hope my estimated shipdate is wrong & that it WILL ship next week, my shipdate right now is March 8 with March 15 delivery. :confused: :confused:

That is almost 2 months from when I orderd!

Of course I don't know for sure, but I would be willing to bet that you'll get it long before then. I ordered mine at 11:05am on the day of the keynote and my Feb 15th ship date got pushed back to Feb 28th after they announced the free upgrades. Then mine shipped on the 18th and is supposed to be here in the next couple days or so.
So yeah, I'm sure it'll ship much sooner.

Hopefully 10 days earlier like yours, so that I get mine March 5, which is 2 days later than my original ship date. Good news that yours shipped! Let us know how you like it!

(YOurs is a 2.0 GHz one right?)

You know whats funny, we both got 1.83's with 1 gig of memory and we both had the 28th as a ship and now we both have mar 8th.

Sucks doesnt it?

Right, I originally ordered a 1.83GHz and it was upgraded to the 2.0GHz
 
It all makes sense now.. my apple reseller told me 2 weeks ago that they were expecting the 1.67s soon but that there was no word on the 1.83s. Apple obviously made the decision not to hold up the top of the line models and so the bumped everyone up and made the new 1.83s wait..

just speculation, but it fits.

YES it does suck :mad: . Did you order 1x1GB or 2x512MB?
I ordered the 2x512MB.
 
Are you kidding me? People who ordered last week are getting their laptops before use who ordered the day of the keynote but didnt get the high-end model? That is so stupid. I'm waiting a shipping notice I bet it will come by Tuesday. I am sick of waiting for this thing!

Something is either not right here or I am just way unlucky. You said you ordered 1.27, I ordered 1.10, we both ordered the same thing, and my card isnt charged yet. WTF is going on?
 
I can no longer cancel my order, so my CTO 1.83 must be getting ready for production. Order status hasn't changed (still 2/28), but I believe that to be highly inaccurate as 2.0/2.16 buyer's status didn't change either until their unit shipped.

Cool idea, schmidp. It's interesting to see where these machines are going. I was very suprised to see that some of the 2.0s ordered last week have shipped already. Makes me think the backlog may not be as severe as indicated...

Is the orderer from Socorro, New Mexico, on here? Home of my alma mater, New Mexico Tech!

Ordered 1.67 on February 4, original ship date of Febraury 23
Upgraded to 1.83 on February 14, shipping date changed to March 8

It couldn't possibly take as long as March 8, could it?

Any consoling would help....:(

I think they've used up all the 1.83 chips on the 17-inch iMac. :(
