Any new info? My CC has still not been charged, but I haven't be able to cancel my order since late Sun. Eve. I'm hoping somthing start by Wed. so there is the possibility to have it by the weekend.
Thought I should mention.....my Applecare and Office have been shipped.
On the phone as we speak.....my Office just arrived at home!!!! Its a start.

which still remains at February 28th. I really don`t think anyone will get it
(1.83Ghz) before this Friday. I have 2 day shipping so it still could sooner
than later hopefully early next week, or at the latest next Friday.

Just talk to Apple rep and said that they would start shipping by Tuesday
of next week. If thats the case my guess is that we should start seeing them by Friday or Saturday (2 day shipping) March 3 and 4th.
If anyone gets any feedback please post it.

the Macbook for me to get he mail in rebate. My orginal order was on Jan. 12
and I asked if this would slow down the shipping process and they told me
no. I amwondering if they will all be ship at the same time with a cut off date
of lets say Jan.31. I still have my original ship date of Feb.28 which has not
changed. Not sure if it will make a difference for 2 day shipping although it
can be delivered on a Saturday.

I tend to think some of the Apple reps aren't always right. I'm really hoping that Apple sticks with its original assertion that the 1.83ghz MBPs will ship this week sometime (even if it's Friday).
From the press release:
"The $1,999 model now includes a 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, up from the previously announced 1.67 GHz, and will begin shipping next week. In addition, customers may now upgrade to a 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor as a build-to-order option on the Apple Online Store."

HA! I could have told you that. That is the estimated ship date given to all the "early" orders by Apple. I was given that date last Tuesday. Your rep had no "inside" info. Sorry (really I am because I'd love some solid info when my MBP is going to ship. But I'm hoping this week, as Apple said in it's press release, and not next week as it says on Order Status).

I was in my local Apple Store today. They had just gotten two Mac Book Pros that were 2.0's. I asked why no 1.83's and he said he didn't know when anything additional would be coming. I played with the 2.0 for quite ahile trying to see what battery life might be. I will say this. The screen was beautiful. Wish my 1.83 would ship

I have a March 8 ship date because I ordered on February 4th, so we'll see.
Here's to hoping they at least start shipping the earliest pre-orders of the 1.83s this week. We can only hope....
If your still not convinced that Apple reps know no more about it than we do, when inquiring about my 1.83 order today i was told no MBP's would ship until the end of Feb!

28th is the end of February. It seems mine will be sent out with the first
batch. But then again stranger this have happened. I am truly hoping they ship by Friday or Monday at the latest to get it by then end of the week.

My only change is a 7200 rpm HD, i got my ram from crucial, ram price went up tho so i probably ended up paying as much from crucial as apple would have charged me!
