For a year now I've been annoyed that my birthday calendar, while being synchronized to mobile me and visible there, never appeared on my iPhone. I looked for it twice but couldn't find it. Because I had other stuff to do I never got around properly investigating why it isn't showing up!

Today, I got annoyed again, and requested a support chat. Go and read it yourself!

unbelievable! Something so rudimentary... left out!
I guess the compass used up all resources, rofl!

lmao! ... no, about to riot!
80 bucks a year for a halfhearted project. People that don't use Mobile.Me CAN HAVE BIRTHDAYS, people paying the 80bucks can't. I'm mad alright!!

Apple makes great stuff, but sometimes they just suck.

LAUGHABLE, APPLE!

i have one... thats why I don't want to manually do all that stuff... anyway... we have a workaround

Ya thats what I've been doing. Syncing from mobileme and birthdays from ical. However I wish it could show calender name in this case "birthday" on my iphone instead of just showing "All from my Mac"

Is it really that important to wish someone, whose birthday you can't even remember, a happy birthday?

The same thing can be said about todos. Is it really that important remembering to do a task you can't remember.

I am having this bug too. I am going to subscribe to this thread. Please let me know if anyone here figures this out.

phil,

there is a slight bug though in the iPhone's iCal.
With having a subscription, all days in the monthly view are indicated as having something scheduled, which clearly is not the case!

I guess that's the first true bug I've seen in the 3.0 GM

Incompetent because they don't sync a birthday calendar?!?

Really?

Slightly overstated, ya?

I'd also like to add... 1 Apple Tech, the lowest of the low on the totem pole, does not necessarily make the best source of information.

Would you like to be described as the lowest of the low?

hi guys..

save me ploughing through 3 pages of why don't they, they should, i hate apple, why should they posts...

...i have my birthdays calendar - from iCal.app/Address Book.app publishing on my iPhone/Google Calendar very nicely thanks.

i have MobileMe... so just click the Birthdays Calendar in iCal and publish it to MobileMe... then you'll be asked if you want to send an email with the link to anyone letting them know about it... email it to yourself and open the email and link on your iPhone...

>>>HEY PRESTO YOU'RE NOW SUBSCRIBING TO YOUR BIRTHDAY CALENDAR.

There is a fantastic app called Occassions.
Push reminders at a set time of day for a period of your chossing for birthdays, anniversaries etc etc.
Has themes as well.

Recommended to lower your blood pressure
