Well to be fair - you can't have people praising the iPad either then. It's not a legitimate "request" to limit discussion to only how good something is - especially given your criteria.

Actually, that's precisely what I meant. From what we've seen thus far, the iPad model Steve Jobs used looks to be a very nice device, but until we get them in our hands, no one knows how good or bad the device will end up. This could be the G4 Cube Redux, or it could be as popular as the iPhone and iPod touch combined. I think everyone should just wait until next month then make up their minds.

I'm tired of waiting for Flash on the iPhone. Never mind waiting for it on the iPad. The big problem is the cheap CPU in the iPhone and iPad that can handle FLASH. I would rather pay $1000 more to good iPad with full Mac OS X.
I'll be quiet honest, I wont be buying the iPad with the OS it is running.
It's useless and already so out dated. Why would you by an iPad if you already have an iPhone. As a matter of fact, I'm not buying another iPhone till these issues are resolved.

Gizmodo posted an issue about no Flash on the iPad.

What do you think?

I think . . . unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful.

Who cares if you don't like your iPhone. You're in the minority.

Make sure you tell us when you get rid of your current iPhone so we can all make a note of it and begin to measure time from that date. We'll be right here on the edge of our seats.

I agree with you 100%, and to see the limp wristed replies come pouring in just makes me want to vomit. Obama has turned this country into a socialistic commune where dissenting thought is prohibited. Then again, this site is 80% Apple employees pretending to live in other countries.

The iPad is flawed so badly that Apple is already planning on lowering the price, subsidizing subscription plans, and adding a camera. WEAK.

Steve's attack on Flash will be the most pathetic moment of his entire legacy, and to think it will probably be his last hurrah is even more sad. HTML 5 won't be done until 2012 and Steve is trying to solve a problem today with it. Right...and a monkey just flew out of my [self censored]. I'm sure developers can't WAIT to have their code out there for the world to steal. I'm sure they can't wait until we have another crap media player that we'll have to pound into shape for another 10 years; 2022!

Steve needs to create a good device and stop blaming everyone else's tech for his own lack of innovation. Adobe will make Flash better, but then again Steve knows this, and has deliberately chosen a cancer-ridden karma path of trying to make them fail instead of sending over engineers to help get it right. Good luck there friend! I guess we're back to the old formula that Adobe has to fail for Apple to succeed? Childish x10.

Pretty strong words, considering that the product is not even available yet. But then again, even Steve Ballmer was completely wrong regarding the iPhone, and his competitive information is likely superior to what you have access to. Would you mind resurrecting this thread a year from now just to see how correct you were?

What do you think?

I think people like you should stop ranting about a device that you haven't even used. Also, crappy CPU? From what I've heard, it's fast.

What? Obama? iPad? Socialism? You're all over the map with this particular rant.

I'm not sure why you fear the success of the iPad, which will be successful the same all the other Apple handhelds are successful. SJ is pushing this industry forward in a particular direction and people who can elicit change are getting on board with Apple. This is a fact. It's a reality in 2010. Apple is the single most influential tech company on the planet. Monumentally important. This is not a joke. It isn't 1997.

Apple is extending the iTunes model further afield to encompass ebooks, magazines, etc. And by the looks of it, they'll pull it off rather easily. The iPad isn't even on sale yet and big industry names are getting right behind it. There are battles over who will get to use Apple as their distribution channel. In less than a month Apple has changed the whole "tablet" game. It's pretty astonishing.

I think we already have enough "iPad sux" threads, especially regarding Flash. Plus this is going off topic anyways. Free free to post in any of the other existing threads.
