I don't get laughing at people who had something bad happen to someone else. It's just wrong I think.


I am starting to hate these 3 letters. It's over used and there could be worse things that happen. One friend put "I have to work 8-3, FML" Why is that a "FML"? She should be happy she has a job, and it's not the end of the world.

The only reason I hate "FML" is the fact it's over used and beaten like a dead horse.

So, I went and called Apple, willing to pay the $199.

Firstly, the $199 is actually $229. Ah well.

Then, the guy tells me that it will take 5 business days for the box to come, 5 days for me to ship it back to Apple, 2 days for them to look at it, charge my credit card and find me a new one, and then 6 days to ship it back.

18 days to get a new phone. Over half a month.

OR, I could pay another $30 for them to send a phone with the first box. Sure.

So, with tax, $291.54 later, I will have a new 3G S.

$300 over an idiotic mistake. Next summer, it LIVES in a Ziploc bag.

Being in Eastern Canada, the nearest Apple Store is in Quebec.

To put that in simple terms, a 17 hour car drive.
