Hide Docked Icon Labels Using Flex

I've searched the Flex cloud, but amidst the plethora of SpringBoard tweaks there isn't one that specifically hides the docked icon labels. xxxhackaxxx, have you made one?

Icon Renamer is also still working on 6.1. While it's a bit more work if you want to wipe them out completely, it's perfect for clearing a small home screen while selectively leaving labels where you want them.
I keep my folder labels, and all the ones for apps within folders, while wiping the labels from my most used apps (all on the first home screen).

If you also use Multi Icon Mover, you'll need to go into Settings > Icon Renamer and toggle "Require Double Tap" to On. Otherwise both tweaks try to act on a single tap when in wiggle mode. (Both tweaks are stable & do not require WB.)

I just use springtomize to hide dock labels and icon labels. I leave folder labels on. Each of the three I just listed have their own toggle for labels. Only downside is, if you hide labels in the icons section, it also hides the labels for the icons inside a folder. So there's no way to hide only springboard icon labels but still show icon labels inside a folder. I can live with this myself. I hide all my icon labels. I do however keep the labels on for folders.

For all of you that want to just use winterboard to do this: Just disable summerboard mode. You're likely not using it and disabling it fixed the issue for me. Now I'm label-less again. Woohoo!

Another way..

There is another way. For those of you who are more code savvy, you can edit each app's info.plist or InfoPlist.strings. This is possible via iFile or using an ssh client to view and edit the files on your computer. Cyberduck is what I use. The path for appstore apps is var>mobile>Applications. For stock apps and cydia apps: var>stash>Applications. What you would need to change is the CFBundleDisplayName. In the info.plist it will read:

<key>CFBundleDisplayName</key>
<string>App Name</string>

the InfoPlist.strings will read:

"CFBundleDisplayName" = "App Name";

Just blank out the App Name and your Icon Label Text should be gone after a manual respring. In some cases you may need to edit both the info.plist AND the InfoPlist.strings. I realize that this way is more tedious and time consuming, but for some of us who are do-it-yourselfers and prefer not to use third-party tweaks like springtomize and winterboard, this may be the best option.
Here's my themed SB without the use of winterboard:
