there’s no more option for creating new Apple ID when you are log out from your account on iPhone and trying to get some free app..

As an aside, did you try creating a new Apple ID through the iCloud menu in the Settings app, after logging out?

I believe this problem with no option for creating new Apple ID on iPhone is temporarily and maybe is caused because New Year and Christmas madness;)
No, the behavior is intentionally.

Each iPhone has a finite number of Apple IDs that can be created on that device. Once that limit has been met, you will no longer see the option to create a new one just like the screenshot shows in your first post.

There is no limit to how many Apple IDs you may own.

I completely forgot you can sign out of the App Store separately.

After signing out from the App Store and trying to download a new app, I also get the popup in your screenshot with no option to create a new Apple ID. Now, I don’t know if this is because:

A) I’m still signed in to my Apple ID account under iCloud
B) There’s some temporary problem with creating new accounts through this popup
or
C) In iOS 11 new accounts can no longer be created through this popup

What I do know is that this is not because of the Apple ID creation limit I mentioned originally - no Apple IDs have been created with this particular device.

@lolkthxbai That’s not correct.. as you can see from Puonti post above he also have this problem with creating Apple ID on his iPhone on which neither one Apple ID wasn’t be created.

I just tried this and I don't have the option to create an Apple ID. I have never created an ID on this specific phone (an 8).

That’s what I’m talking about...

It’s obvious that there are some problems with creating Apple ID-s on iPhone or Apple is changing some rules for creating new Apple ID or it’s all because New Year and Christmas Holidays.

Everyone’s talking about this one App Store popup, which could just be a change or problem with that particular UI, but has anyone cheched if the option to create a new Apple ID is available under Settings - Apple ID after you sign out with your current Apple ID?

Signing out removes iCloud Photo Library which I’d rather not do at this time.

How do you know an Apple ID can’t be created that way either?

Signing out from your Apple ID is not the same thing as the signing out from your iCloud acc.. these are two separate things. You can sign out from your Apple ID but stay signed on your iCloud acc.

When you are signed out from your Apple ID under settings you only have option to sign in again but not to create new Apple ID.

Only way for creating Apple ID on iPhone is to start downloading some free app and then you should get option for creating new Apple ID.. problem is that there are no more that option as you can see from first photo posted in this theme.

That must be new to iOS 11, then. The option to create a new Apple ID used to be available through Settings in iOS 10.

Thanks for confirming that - this inability to create Apple IDs on-device started to feel very strange.
