what would it sync to?
maybe the new mail in leopard...
I bet you will be able to transfer them, and probably other things, to and from the iPhone by using the 'browse device' function in Bluetooth File Exchange.
oh MAN! you know that when Leopard comes out, you're going to be able to sync notes and to do lists from Mail into the iPhone. Leopard is only going to make it better...
Well, I hope so. Still kind of sucks and seems like a "sticky" notes solution to something that could have been handled better.

You will be able to access the notes from the iPhone when docked, just like you can with an iPod.
I am presuming that developers will quite easily be able to read and write to and from these. They are after all, just text files.
Yeah, but certainly the crappy solution as compared with the others.

CRAP. I just found out the iPhone can't pay my bills / drive me places / read my mind / and other important stuff.

So, just out of curiosity, why wouldn't one take notes into an email, then email them to them self or anyone else. It's like note sharing.
I realize if you're going to have a notes app, it would be nice to have it be able to do something with the notes, but I really don't see this as a deal killer.
Do we all just have so much nervous energy that we scrutinize every little detail?
Above all, I would dream of an OmniOutliner companion that synced up with the daddy app on OSX.
