lol geez, the MB's are already down to the black one only. Seeing those C2D MBP's makes me optimistic about the possibility of C2D MB's in the future. Is it only Tuesday that they update the refurbished stock? And is it always at 4AM Eastern Time?

I've been watching the US refurb store daily over the past 5 weeks. So far, the appearance/disappearance of C2D MBP's happens weekly, if not bi-weekly (not just restocked on Tuesdays), as does the appearance/disappearance of CD MB's. So far, I haven't seen any evidence that there's any change looming in the way they're stocking the shelves, just more of the same. :(

Of course, they'll have to start stocking them at some point!

Well it is restocked right now but no MBs...I'm assuming they sold out FAST. I hope they didn't have any C2D MBs.. :(

Wow. I looked at 6 AM PST and they had quite a few MBs... damn they sell out fast!

Just out of curiosity... is there any legitimate way to tell whether they have "quite a few" of something in the refurb store versus just one or two? I'm not trying to call you out... but if you know that specifically, how do you know?

I had always thought that one listing was for one product  but correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess no C2D MBs eh? Oh well...I'll have to settle for a new one I guess..

Well I counted about 4 or 5 this morning. That was 6 am pst time though. I noticed now that they don't have any. I saw some white MB and I think 1 black MB. Now they weren't core 2 duo just the core duos. I have not seen any macbook core 2 duos in the refurbished store.

One review said 8% faster, however it the 64 bit that you want........
I think the C2D vs. CD MB differences are:

8-10% faster
64-bit capable
DL Superdrive (was single layer)
Larger HDD
More Memory
Pre-N Airport

All of those things added together are enough to make me want to wait for a C2D.

Oh, I understand now... No. One listing is for one product specification -- so you can tell how many different stock configurations they've got (e.g. 1.83 vs. 2.0, black vs. white, etc), but you cannot tell, as far as I know, how many of each they've got. So if they list four different MacBook configs, they might have 4 refurb units available or they might have 75 (in four configs).

I think Apple will be noticing how fast the MacBooks refurbs get snatched up at just under $1000.

Obviously sales of MacBooks in general are very good, but I think they will be trying hard to get prices down as time passes...

I'm just glad I got mine when they were still available! (with free extra RAM to boot.)
