I didnt get the Penryn part, what is Penryn and why do u believe that the best deal is the C2D MBPro?

You can read about Penryn here.

Basically it is the next generation of processors from Intel made on a 45nm litography. It should become available at year end or 2008 Q'1.

If you really feel you need that much power, and you don't care if you have a 6" thick laptop, and you never run off batteries, then you should stop looking at the MacBook Pro and get the Mac Pro.

I was aiming for the MacPro in the beggining but it was the absense of portability that made me think about MacBookPro!

How much work do you really do while traveling?

You could be much more productive on a Mac Pro with large screens.

Although I am currently using a MacBook Pro with an 23" Apple Cinema Display but it is a placeholder until I buy a Mac Pro after summer. No point in buying one now as I will be away the entire summer anyway. Plus, I may get either an updated or cheaper Mac Pro by that time with newer software to boot :D

True, the large screen is surelly a must nowadays, but i feel that the MacPro or anyother desktop computer for that matter, keeps u pinned down to one place and that gets a little boring sometimes! On the other hand with a laptop, u can always relocate depending on mood and work anywhere inside your house! :)
