It's the same device, just T-Mobile branded. AT&T branding is on the removable back cover, while T-Mobile branding is at the front.

Jessica,
Been playing with my 520 for a couple of hours now and the UI is very smooth. Since I had a Microsoft account already for Outlook and XBox, everything synced over flawlessly, however it appears that the U.S. version of the 520 did not get the Amber update. I am on the 1.9.1.42 version and no updates available.
Wondering if there is a way to get the update or if you can point me in the right direction.

BTW, for $59 this is a killer deal on a no-contract phone. Glad I picked one up. :D

P.S. Why the hell doesn't Android phones steal Windows camera? This cheap a$$ phone focuses faster and takes better shots than just about any phone I have tried in the last couple of years, including iPhone! WTF... (I say that in a good way towards Nokia.) :)

Amazon and Best Buy both have the 520 for $49.99 right now.

Last month, Best Buy emailed me free a $10 code so decided to pick up the 520 for $40. :D

I passed on this phone at $100, $80, $70, $60, but at $40, how can you say no.

I did the same. I am not even going to activate it. Just use it on wifi and as a media player.

Will be picking one up because it is so damn cheap. Doesn't matter if 520 from AT&T or 521 from T-Mobile. This will be used as a portable media player. My return to WP after using it between Nov '11 - Apr' 12 before my Samsung Focus got stolen from me.

This is a deal that is so hard to pass up. It has a 64 GB expandable memory slot! Something even the Moto G doesn't have. Think of a 64 GB iPod touch that retails for $400. This Nokia smartphone can save up to $270+ by comparison if I buy a 64 GB microSD card for $60. And Windows Phone has always been buttery smooth to me anyway. I remember just a few years ago, a Zune HD still cost over $200+. Now we have WP smartphones that cost a fraction of that.
