I keep meaning to put mine on there. Gotta get around to it soon before the next one comes out!

They're still selling for over $100 more. That's why I bid on a sale ending in the middle of the night. :D

I'm literally only using it as my camera phone (popping the sim in for special events and concerts), so this version will be fine for me for awhile, I hope!

I think I'm going to end up returning the Icon. It was an impulse buy and I'll just stick with what I have now.

Maybe when 8.1 comes out I will look harder at Windows Phone. I'll just keep using the 521 till then which should easily suffice especially with what else I have.

Was the Icon too abbreviated in terms of features?

It will always be abbreviated as far as the apps go, I do not dislike the Icon per se but I think for now the 521 will just be my mess around with Windows 8 device.

I have too many smartphones already to tell the truth. I see the Icon just being something I would not keep that long versus the rest.

I had gotten a Lumia 521 for a good bargain from the Microsoft Store and I have to admit that it's the best bargain phone out there right now.

Are there any other fellow Lumia owners here on the MacRumors forum?

Got one for my mom and it's awesome. Waiting for my brother to get the iPhone 6 and give me his iPhone 5 for her. Wish I had gotten it for my dad instead of a iPhone 5C.

Great device especially for the price. Easy to use, decent camera and GPS on it. Have really tried their App Store. I mean you really can't complain about a 50-60 buck phone.

I mean I wouldn't want it but someone who needs a smart phone for gps or just a simple good phone it's great. So cheap :D

Looks like my Lumia 521 is relaxing in the drawer waiting to be used :). Been too busy playing with Chromecast and Note 2 this week :).

I stopped by AT&T today to check out WP8's latest offerings. The phones definitely feel nice in the hand and I probably would have walked out with one if I had been able to find apps to replace my everyday use apps on my iPhone.

There was a few but Fitocracy is the big one. :D

I gave WP a 30 day trial from 12/13-01/14 and while nice, it just isn't there yet.

To me Microsoft still has a couple years (if ever) to go.

A few photos captured over the weekend on the Lumia 1520.

As my Note 3 vs. Icon thread states, I now have the Lumia Icon.

I'm generally happy with it, no device is perfect but I'm putting it through its paces. I have a 14 day window to return it. I'm only on the second full day so I'm happy with it.

I'm not a big fan of this section of the forum , but I'm here, happy owner of a Lumia 925.
I started my WP experience with a Lumia 800 at launch, quite disappointed by the lack of support from Nokia and Microsoft (a flagship limited to WP 7 less than two years after release).
Nevertheless I gave WP 8 a try with a cheap Lumia 520 and I was impressed: a cheap smartphone only in its price, because it was way better than most of the mid range android I've seen.
Now things are even better with the 925, and I'm waiting for WP 8.1

Welcome. But why did you feel the need to say that you're not a big fan of this section of the forum? Are your iPhone buddies giving you grief?

So what are some of the things that you like about the 925? There are many of us who dipped our toe in the WP8 waters with a 520 and are interested in what to get next.

I'm not a fan of this section for the same reason I don't like Samsung / Google fanatics to storm every iPhone thread of the forum. On this forum I like to speak about my Apple devices, while I speak about WP and Android on other forums (as you can see on my signature, I have pretty much all the mobile world covered).

BTW on Lumia 925 I found every things I liked about the 520, improved.
Construction quality is far better: the 520 was ok, but this is on another level.
Not so many differences running UI and apps, since the 520 was quite snappy and WP 8 a well designed os, but the better SoC and 1 Gb of ram are welcomed in more demanding apps.
The display is gorgeous while the 520's was average at best.
Camera is very good indeed, not at the level of the Icon/1520 (not to speak about 1020), but better than most of the camera you could find on the market, and with OIS.
At the street price you can find it today (around 250€ here) the 925 is a very good device.

I needed a 2nd phone line so I picked a Lumia 920 last week.
I have been nothing but impressed by the OS and the speed of year and a half old technology. After figuring out how to move my contacts over, using MS Live websites and setting up my iCloud email I have been forwarding my main 4S phone number to the Lumia.
Apps or lack thereof has not been an issue so far, the only thing Ive found I can't do is sync the other iCloud stuff.
The only downside so far, especially going into the summer months with lighter clothing, is the size and weight of the phone but it sure is nice having that extra screen real estate.
IMHO, the other 2 platforms need to start worrying about losing market share to the Windows Phone.
Downloading 8.1 as I type.

Does anyone here use the 1Password app for WP? I know it is sorely lacking when compared to the iPhone and even Android apps, but can it pull the database from Dropbox and can you at least read the passwords? I don't even care about the ability to add new passwords, just read the existing ones.

Lastpass. I use it on Android, Windows Phone and Windows.

Thanks. I do know about Lastpass, and it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to switch. I just really like using 1password. Though if I'm already switching from iOS to WP8, what's one more service. ;)
