Personally prefer the Satechi 3 in 1 stand paid over £120 for (marginal saving over this) and have been impressed with how sturdy it is.

I don't get the grief on the cost of these types of stands given it would be around £150 to buy more cables from apple (apple charge £70 for a dual adapter plus £29 for a watch charger and £45 for a MagSafe cable)

I have a Nomad stand for my iPhone. It wasn't cheap but it is elegant, exquisitely made and oozes quality. Since it's something I intend to use in Nightstand mode for many years to come, I'm not complaining about the price. The customer support is also top notch. My stand actually got damaged due to an extreme furniture event, and they kindly sent me a replacement.

No, I'm not being paid by Nomad to write this. Just my opinion.
Agreed. I have a few nomad products and have always appreciated the quality. $150 seems like alot, but I imagine I would use it for 5 years. Anything I get that much use out of, I don’t mind spending for quality. That said, $150 is a bit more than I would spend on this, but I’m a buyer at $100 and a thinker at $129.

This thing is gorgeous, but I can't fathom spending $150 for something to hold my watch and phone at night. There are much more practical solutions that I can think of. But I guess if the money is burning a hole in your pocket, go for it.

Last overpriced Nomad charging base I got was the "Base station hub with Apple Watch charger Mount"... what a disaster (that for some reason I keep to this day)... about 30% of the time (including this today), I put my iPhone on the pad, confirm it's charging and go to sleep... in the morning pick up my phone and it's low battery... it's like if it moves a micron somehow it'll stop charging... same with the Apple Watch as the holder for the Apple Watch charge puck probably leaves just a bit too much gap or some such.

As a result I won't buy from Nomad ever again... for our holiday place we got the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1s and they're great (albeit very pricey). Wish Apple made a really nice base charger (but I guess they tried once and got "burned" before release)... and while we're at it wish Apple made a solid, beautiful MacBook desktop dock.

You need a MagSafe charger. No amount on nocturnal thrashing or feline interventions will budge the phone from its designated charging spot.

Ali express ( but a good quality one ) with a 30w charger… $40. QI1… but it’s a night stand right… would even charge on Gorden Gecko 4 hours sleep a night

These things just seem like a licence to print money. How on earth do ALL the stands cost £150 / $150?

And you still have to bring your own charger!
