Mine arrived today, finally. Fit wise it’s ok. I think I was on the 5th hole. It definitely felt better than the regular sport band, but it doesn’t breathe like the sport loop or trail band. I did notice that the actual fit into the watch itself was pretty terrible. I had to hold the spring loaded lock mechanism down on the strap before I could get it to slide into the watch.

Finally, band & case together.

Do you have any play with the band connected to the watch ultra?
Just got in a Black Nomad Sport and I can notice it feels a little loose/sloppy where it connects to the ultra.

Do I have a dud or do all Nomad sport bands fit like this?

I finally received my lunar gray sport band and I notice quite a bit of play on the connecting ends too. Almost like it could potentially pull directly out of the channels in the watch if too much stress is applied. Definitely not as snug as the genuine apple ones.

I also noticed it doesn’t slide into the channel properly due to the center spring loaded part not depressing automatically. The plastic gets shaved if you try to force it. Must depress it manually to get it to slide in. And then it wiggles around in the channel even though the spring loaded part is engaged. The ends are slightly too small it seems.

They should have a micro adjustment of the pin to allow for in between sizes.

I received both the orange and gray. Have not put on yet.
The orange color does not seem to be the same as the pictures from early November. Will look more closely.
If loose like yours, they will go back.
Also the material is not as soft as the apple/nike elastomer material.

Same issue I had with the orange one I received a week ago. The center spring doesn’t automatically depress when sliding into the channel and shaved off the top forcing it into the channel. My center springs were stiff and didn’t budge at first.

Fit is poor and wiggles in the channel. The material is stiff and isn’t as supple as Apple’s. I submitted a warranty claim with photos and video last week. Haven’t heard back yet and kinda miffed.

The case is decent thought a bit bulkier than I expected. Seems to a bit of weight too.

I’m wondering if this is why they’ve been back ordered for so long. And they still haven’t got it right. Perhaps their earlier versions were made to better specifications.

Same here. Totally dissapointed.

How do you fixed it, guys?

Filed a warranty claim the day I received the strap, which required a follow-up email after 15 days of no response, to support to check the status of the warranty claim which I didn’t hear back for another 5 days. This was back on Jan 5.

Resolution offered was store credit or wait for the strap which was backordered and would ship sometime in February.

Ended up taking the store credit and ordering an iP14 PM case.

I would like to buy Orange band too, but QC and support pushing me away from this brand I have bought $60 band + I have paid an extra for a FedEx shipping and I need to wait another two weeks + to get an answer?

I’m not impressed with the ordering process. I saw the orange was in stock, and so I placed an order early last Friday for the orange band. Today is Wednesday, and the only communication I’d received so far was an email telling me to remember to depress the button on the watch when putting the band on.

I emailed and asked when it would ship, since normally it’s 1-2 days before you get shipping notice (I’d payed for expedited shipping). My email said that if there were going to be significant delays, I would likely cancel my order. Someone replied a couple hours later saying that they’re short-handed at the warehouse due to new waves of COVID and that it takes 5 - 7 business days for it to ship. And they canceled my order without confirming what I wanted to do. That notice apparently shows up on the shipping page, but if you use Apple Pay (I did) you actually don’t get to the shipping page.

I replied back to see if I could un-cancel my order, since I didn’t expressly ask for it to be canceled and had already waited 4 days. They told me I could place another order and they would “mark it high priority for our shipping team.” I’ve asked what that means, but they haven’t responded yet.

Did you ever get a reply?

Same quality, great as expected. I just got a notice to depress central pin and to push in a band. That’s all and it’s really helped.
I got that email after my order, but it didn’t work. My Ultra still shaved off some of the black coating on the middle button of the band. Otherwise, it works great.

I read somewhere that people were complaining that the orange didn’t match the orange action button, as it may have appeared to in marketing materials. I think it’s more meant to match the orange of the Wayfinder watch face, which mine does perfectly. Overall I’m very happy with it.

I got mine this week. Wasn’t impressed to be honest - it’s wobbly where it connects to the watch, on both sides, and it’s no wider than a standard sport strap, so looks a bit thin on the ultra. I don’t see any benefit over the orange Apple sport strap, which is actually a fair bit cheaper.

Same here. Got mine, but I’m not that impressed.
And wearing and removing the Nomad Sport Band isn’t very safe as the watch can easily fall down... This band is now in a drawer:(
I end up wearing only the Ocean band as I really like the feel of this band, even though I didn’t like it when I've received the Watch Ultra... I may buy the white or the yellow one later (but I’ll check if Apple offers other options as colour. I don't buy knock-off band)

Yup, I’m returning mine for the same reason, and picked up an ocean band for exercising instead - feels more secure and looks good with the watch.
