I activated non-iCloud notes on all my Apple devices, mostly for privacy reasons as well as practical reasons (so they all end in my mailbox). All these notes are linked to a single email address hosted on a rented server. I can create and edit those notes on any device, and changes are reflected in other devices.
MacBook Pro/Snow Leopard, MacBook/El Capitan, iPad 2/iOS 6.1.3, iPhone 3GS/iOS 6.1.6 all work seamlessly. However, for a reason I have yet to understand, iPhone 5c/iOS 9.3.5 doesn't even display those notes, even though it has the same IMAP settings as the others.
Where does this bug come from?
