Interesting... the price on yours is about half what Reytiros paid. You think it's from the same factory? How did you specify you wanted the 42MM? $120 is pricey for me... but $60 seems alright :)

They don't look identical to me. Links on the more expensive band seem to increase in width towards the ends. Also when you look closely at the final two links which get connected when closing the clasp it looks like they form a straight line on the more expensive band while those final two link pieces seem to be the same as all the rest on the cheaper band.

Obviously the pictures for the cheaper band show an unfinished product. So it could already have been changed. I'm curious what you'll report once you have received it.

For those interested: The black "almost there" clone of the link bracelet is coming...

View attachment 570369

Makes a real 1:1 in black pretty likely IMO.

I own the original SS Link Bracelet but I'd buy the Space Black. Combo looks sick! Is the clone using DLC or is it just a dye?

To the people with the leather loop clone, how is the fit where it connects to the watch? Seen a couple of pictures which makes the loop width look worryingly short where it connects to the watch, but others which seem OK.

It's only a sample yet. I need to check it and will report back. Heard black will come around end of the month / early next month.

I am starting to see a couple of problems with the NON OEM 42mm Blue Leather Loop I got from Freedoclock09 yesterday. I do have two weeks to decide to return or not. I don't want to make any hasty decisions.

The first thing is that I am starting to see a little rash on my wrist around the outer edges of the band and it is very itchy. I looks like a red line around my wrist, closer to the body, not the hand side. My OEM Medium Black LL never did that and I have had tight and loose. I put back on my regular OEM Apple Black Leather Loop Band just for a few minutes and the itchiness seemed to disappear. I am going to wear my OEM version for the next few hours to see if the itching and red line disappears. I will put back on the 3rd Party LL again to see if I get the rash again. I only wear leather bands because I have problems with rubber, plastic and metal bands touching my skin and causing irritation to my skin, plus my arms are very hairy. This could just a weird coincidence with the itching and rash. Only time will tell. Bye the way, I know some have asked if this is real leather. Now I am not sure. The description say Genuine Leather, but I should be having a reaction to this, unless they treated the leather with some chemical that I am allergic too. Maybe in the coloring.

Second and most important, I was eating lunch and dropped something on the floor and went to pick it up with my right hand (my watch is on my right wrist) and all of sudden the strap came loose. The magnet didn't hold. I don't know if the band was too tight at the time or the way I moved my hand, but the large end was dangling. Luckily, my watch didn't come off my wrist. When I first tried it out last night, I thought the magnet was fine, but I did think it was weeker than the OEM version. This isn't the first time I dropped something from the dining room seat and picked it up like I just did earlier today. I had it happen when I was wearing my OEM LL band and the band stayed on with no problem

What should I do? It is starting to look like I might have to return the band. I really didn't want to pay 150 for another Leather Loop Band

I'd return it just on the fact that the magnet didn't hold. The rash makes it a no brainer.

With the three problems I have had with this band, I think you are right. I now have my OEM Medium Black leather loop on with my watch and the rash is disappearing and I know that the magnet is strong. The 3rd Party Leather Loop had three problems so far, with the magnet not being strong enough the worst. Causing a rash and the adapter leather not being wide enough are the other reasons. It did look nice though. I will probably put in tonight for the return on ebay and hope I don't have any problems returning and getting a refund. When I get home later I will try the NON OEM one more time and see what happens, just to make sure.

I guess it is to be expected with a band that's 1/3 of the price of the original. As mentioned earlier I ordered the red one, and since the Apple one doesn't come in red, I can be happy with the knock off one, knowing there isn't a better option to buy.

Just got this neon green band from a EBay seller in China. Was $15 and ordered about a week and a half ago. Pretty decent turn around!

The band is pretty reasonable quality and totally passable. It has the same matte finish and feel as the OEM bands. It is made from a different and less dense rubber than apples flourelastomer.

The finishing is ok. The stainless pin to latch the band fits through and holds (I rand and went to the gym with it for now), but it looks like there is a smallish gap. Not as snug a "latch" as the OEM, but doesn't wiggle and feels pretty secure from tugging.

The connectors sorta suck. They work just fine and are very secure, but the are jusssssst a touch thick and fit very snugly into the watch. It makes it sorta tough to take the band off and on. It lines up pretty well with the watch tho, no gaps and very little overhang.

For 15, it's cool to have another color option and this band is worth the price. It's cheap enough where I may pick up another color or two like the red and not sweat it if I don't use it too much.

For a sports band that you're gonna wear a lot, I would stick with the OEM probably, but the price is right if you want to have a few color options to play with and have fun or to wear every now and then.

I am pretty shocked you got yours...myself and others had theirs "lost in the mail" and refunded

Just got my 38mm red leather loop today, and I'm really impressed! The quality, look, fit, and feel are great. Magnets are strong, no slipping, attaches to the watch well, and the red looks great with the SS watch and the red color watch face. Here's the link to the eBay seller, with a couple of pics:

It turns out that the rash looks like it was caused by chemicals on the the 3rd Party 42mm Light Blue Leather Loop I received yesterday. I looked up on the Apple sight on how to clean the the Leather Loop. So a couple of hours ago I took a warm damp cloth and wiped it on both side really good. Took a cloth to get off and extra water and than I just let it sit for 2 hours. I just tried it on again and so far no rash or itching. It is starting to look like it was chemicals on the band. I am going to take it off for the rest of the night and see what happens. As for the magnet strength, it might of been user error on my part. I noticed when I put on the band a 5 PM that I though the band was pulled properly through the clasp. I realized that I didn't pull the whole band all the way through, and if I did that before, that is probably how the magnet came off because it was loose and I could of hit it on the chair and it caught it. As for now, I am in a wait in see mode. But it might be alright after all.

so i received my link bracelet, wow it just looks awesome
as good as the original one
check the pics
Whow looks great.

I am still waiting for the 1:1 clone a couple of weeks but when that's not coming I will buy this one instead.

Can you maybe make a picture from the front with a little more band? And do you know if the finish and all is matching the real one?

Thanks for all this info, I'll grab a couple myself.

Wow I had no idea. I got mine pretty damn fast I gotta admit.

The one thing I will say about that package is that thing would be incrediblyyyyyy easy to lose. It may be legit that they are losing packages. It comes in those 6 inch by 6 inch polyurethane shipping bags. The package was super light, super small, and super thin. Would be easy to get lodged somewhere, stuck to a hanging piece of package tape, or be so hidden in a delivery truck that you don't know it's there.

Posted this in the "ultimate third party bands" thread but I thought it should go here, too.

I got my 42mm Milanese loop from the Utica Guy. I was pleased with everything but the width of the band. As you can see in the picture the band isn't the same width as the lug it's connected to; it's a few mm short on each side. It doesn't match the pictures in the listing. Also, on the other lug (where it loops through) the band slides back and forth because there lug seems to be a few mm bigger than the band.

A little disappointed but at least it can be returned easily. I did also send the seller a message since the my picture doesn't match the listing. Hopefully it's just a defect. If not they should change the photos in the listing.

I got confirmation from freedomoclock09 (utica guy) that your band was part of a wrong first batch. New ML are exactly like the pictures. If you haven't done it yet, you should ask him for a replacement. Also, could you please keep up updated about the replacement ML? It should be a perfect clone if according to you only the width was incorrect.

Hi,

Thanks for your message.

For new lot band,it is exactly same as picture now...just our factory make mistake when they purchasing steel band, now problem solved

Maybe 35 order will be affected, but no more such question in future

Less than 24hr after starting the dispute on Ali Express, the seller sent me a new tracking number that works!
Funny, how as soon as start the dispute process they can ship out for real.

I never ordered from Ali Express before, should I leave the dispute open until I receive the package? It says seller refused the dispute but offered a solution (new shipment), I have 14 days to decide.

Earlier it was mentioned that cancelling a dispute means I won't be able to dispute again (if the package never arrives). Should I just let the 14 days ride out and hope the package gets here by then?

I'd keep it open until you're satisfied with the transaction.

This looks outstanding! I returned my SS Band unopened as i couldn't justify the cost. But this looks to fit the bill nicely. Just to clarify you purchased this exact one?
