I set reminders on a lot of things and sometimes I don't get notifications on some.

It can be annoying because they're set for a reason.

Yes notifications are enable. This is happening mainly with my reoccurring ones.

I am having the same issue. I posted a thread about this last week, and others said they are having the same issue. Looks like it's a bug we have to wait for Apple to fix.

I haven't been experiencing this with iOS 10 since the beginning, but for some reason just had a reminder that was supposed to have a notification and it didn't go off for some reason.

I've had this same problem randomly ever since I got the iP7. Thought I was losing my hearing when I saw notifications in the pull down menu that I never heard come in.

And today, I was literally looking at the home screen when an iMessage came in and the banner displayed but NO sound. I obviously made sure phone wasn't set to mute and even sent myself a message right afterwards that did actually make a sound. So annoying since it means I can't rely on notification sounds.

This is with the latest 10.1 beta 5 even.

This is a different issue. My issue is with the Reminders app itself, not displaying a notification of any kind. this has nothing to do with other apps not making a sound when their notifications come in.

My bad, I was thinking this was about not getting notifications in general sometimes, but I do wonder if there's a wider issue with notifications since I've had this happen with email notifications too, but more rare. I haven't used the Reminders lately to have experienced missing notifications with that app.

I experienced this too. It happens from time to time. The last few weeks have been bug free ....
Hope this gets fixed. It's a bad feeling when you know that eventually the reminder won't remind you

What's the point of using a device if there's a bug or two here or there? I don't know, what's the point of ever using computers or many similar devices out there as they've had bugs here and there all throughout their history essentially?

Are u serious? Reminders are important to millions of people. I use them for a lot of things.

This is a serious bug that needs addressing. Reporting your post for trolling.

A rhetorical question was posed essentially implying that there isn't a point to something like a smartphone because a few people experience a bug with an app. I similarly posed similar rhetorical questions to say there's plenty a device like a smartphone can do to be useful even with some bugs here and there. There are many uses for devices like that even with some bugs, as has been the case throughout history when it comes to many similar devices. There are also often ways to work around the issues some bugs might present by changing something or using other apps (one of the main things behind a smartphone). Nowhere have I implied anything about a potential bug not being a bug or it not needing to be dealt with in some way. Simply commented on the rhetorical question that was posed. And somehow I'm trolling? Go figure.

Mark me down for reminders issues as well. I specifically notice it with recurring reminders. I rely on this app for so many things. It makes you question it's reliability and makes you want to explore other services/apps.

The problem is that Siri doesn't work with other apps, so you have to weigh it all out. It isn't a simple question.

I'm hoping Apple can fix these things.

Has been happening to me as well. I'll open the Reminders app, thinking, "Why didn't that reminder go off?" -- it will be sitting there, and will suddenly turn "overdue" (red) as I'm looking at it.

This has been more of an issue for me lately. Is it still happening to others? Seems to happen both with repeating and one-time reminders -- I just won't get the notification. When I open the app, the overdue reminder turns from black to red (overdue).

Yeah, I don't even sync reminders at all between my iDevices, because that has never worked for me (a Reminder created on one device will not "populate" onto another device until I open the Reminders app on that device... which defeats the purpose).
[doublepost=1490640004][/doublepost]Updating to 10.3, now that it has been released... I wonder if that will make a difference for this Reminders notification bug (though I don't see it specifically addressed in the changelog.)

The bug has not been addressed in 10.3.

I don't like to gripe too much, but this is a fairly inconvenient app to be buggy... I rely on Reminders pretty heavily (imagine if the phone didn't ring for every 5th call that comes in, lol).

I've taken to opening & reviewing the Reminders app a few times per day, to keep an eye on it and make sure nothing has been missed.

The thing is that the stock Reminders app works so well otherwise; allows for a shared Family list; etc. I'd hate to have to find an alternative. (FWIW, I've been successfully notified of my Reminders for the past week or so.)

Thanks guys. My reminders are still hit and miss - and coupled with the fact that we can no longer organise the notifications in priority order (what is Apple's thinking behind this!!!) the whole debacle is made worse!

I may just splash out on Fantastical 2 - a lot of dough for an app, but really do need it so gotta bite the bullet!
