I've installed the update and so far I really like it. One gripe I have is when you get a notification from twitter and click to respond, it opens in the web browser rather than the Twitter for Mac app.

Anyone know how to make it open in TFM and not in the web browser?

I would say Twitter will need to release an update for their app for this to work with the new notification center. Its a little early still....maybe in a few days.

sixth is probably right. I'm not aware of a way to do this yet. I've deleted my twitter account because of this. You can use Hiss to get all your Growl notifications to show up in the notification center for the time being. http://collect3.com.au/hiss/

I've already got Hiss, cheers, pretty handy so far!

I gave Tweetbot a whirl but I really didn't like it, it was too bulky and I thought the GUI was pretty awful. I'll stick with TFM for now and hopefully they'll release an update :)

My only other annoyance with ML is the inability to style the notifications, give it a few days and I'm sure an app will come out!

Remember you have to log in with your twitter account in the system preferences. Having twitter installed is t enough.

Yeah me too. I'll probably only use Tweetbot once it's out of alpha/beta.

It still won't open the app.

I have the same problem. Even with Twitter logged in I get Notifications but then opens in Safari. I can only tweet from the Notification Center. I can't reply or anything else from there.

Clicking Click to Tweet does nothing for me in Notification Center so I can't even get that far. Bit frustrating.

My share button from notification center settings is missing from both "in notification center" and "not in notification center".. Therefore, I cannot add a "click to tweet in my NC.. Is this a bug?.. It would be kindly appreciated if any of you provided a solution. Thanks.

I am not even sure if Twitter notifications are working for me, I have sent several tweets back and fourth between my two accounts and I am not receiving any notifications. I must be missing something...

I take it tweets from those you follow don't show up in notifications? I'm using the regular twitter app and I'm signed in to my twitter account in System Preferences (Mail, Contacts and Calendars) and I do see the "Click to tweet" button at the top of notification centre. My twitter app icon in the menu bar turns blue to notify me of new tweets but nothing in notification centre. Is that normal?

I was having the same problem. I way I fixed it was to go to twitter.com in safari (seems to only work in safari?), it should, once you're logged in prompt to use your twitter credentials, click always allow and NC then works :)

Yes. As the Notification Center settings for Twitter suggest, only Mentions and Direct Messages show up in Notification Center.

Yeah this is my #1 most frustrating issue with ML.

If I am on my iPhone, and I get a tweet notification, it will take me to the twitter app, it does not open Safari and take me to the twitter website, so why is it that my iMac takes me to the site? Since Apple is working toward making OSX mimic iOS, this should have been thought of and addressed in one of the early betas.

The Twitter integration in Mountain Lion has nothing to do with the Twitter app. Twitter will have to update the app and add support for Notification Center.
