no notifications on lockscreen :-(

I thought we'd have notification center available from the lockscreen, that sure would have been a homerun :-(

You could have easily explained to them how it was done instead of beating around the bush about it. I think you need to take a look in the mirror.

I did explain early on a reboot or restore might be needed, how much simpler can you get. I replied to the OP I suggest to him a restet or restore. It's there, read it....also don't fight other peoples fights

I'm sure it will come with a 5.1 udate or 5.2 update. If enough people want it, eventually it will come, as we all know apple takes time but they eventually get to what is needed.

I'd personally love to see an ESPN sports scroll instead of a stock scroll, but thats just me and a few others I assume.

I'm talking about the over 24 hour away calendar events, which a few people asked you about. You most certainly did not explain how they were done because I had to.

I was answering the OP, his was showing NOTHING. I answered the OP, ya know, they guy who started the entire thread with the main issue.

So lockscreen will not show my upcoming appointments unless the reminder triggers while locked?
What widgets can be put on lock screen?

It's against my better judgement to answer this since I said I wouldn't  but yes, you are correct. The appointment must trigger a notification while your phone is off.

And no widgets as of now. Maybe in the future.

anyone else have the problem with calendar that on the notifcations pulldown shade it is showing me ALL my calendars even though in the calendar app and in my google calendars i have deselected 2 of them (so i only want to see 10 out of my 12 but i dont' want to delete the other 2 since i may need them at a later date).

this is the ONLY issue i'm having with the new notifications system. Otherwise it's perfect. Oh and the calendars are showing up CORRECTLY in my calendar app on the phone. just not in the pulldown.

it seems I'm one of the ones that are only getting things within the 24 hour window showing up. I'd love to be able to see more into the immediate future, but can't figure this out. I've reset the phone, and tried different configurations of events, but nothing seems to work.

That's what I'm wondering. I've got events setup for later dates so I see nothing in my notifications, but if I setup an event for today it shows up.

+1 for me...LockInfo would show everything up to a week in advance for me...iOS 5 only shows things within the next 24 hours in my calendar.

yeah i'm getting the "show 1 day" "show 3 days" etc to work just fine. It's just adding a calendar i don't want to see! :)

In settings, under notifications, you can set up apps individually how you want them to appear.

Settings->Notifications
From there, scroll down and you will see a "Not in Notification Center" section. Select any apps there that you want to appear in notification center, then toggle on the Notification Center option to "on".

Thanks but...

Skype is not in the 'Not in Notifications Center' on one iPad....but it is in Notifications Center on the other.

ie...I don't have the option to add it to Notifications!

Looks like there are still a lot of bugs in the notification list.

Anyone got any other apps to utilize notification list?

Where do you see an option to "show 1 day" and "show 3 days"???

Too bad Apple won't let 3rd party apps mess around with the notifications list. Man, there's a lot of things that would be awesome on there. An ESPN bottomline widget. :D Even data usage or something.
