Yes and no. It’s ok for writing short things (like this message). If I was someone who had to do a lot of typing then yes i would probably get cramped hands.

But i feel the MKB is really exactly for that. Short bursts of typing then I take it off and use it as a tablet.

Honestly if i had to do lots and lots of typing I’d just recommend to get a MacBook instead.

Agreed.

I‘m starting to think I wasted 300 quid on the MKB.

It’s a great device, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the 11” iPad Pro.

Well it just depends on the person. I have the 11 inch ipad pro with the keyboard and love it. It works for me perfectly. But what works for some may not work for others.

I physically cannot get on with the on screen keyboard on the iPad though. I find it awkward as hell.

I’m using the on screen keyboard as I type, one fingered. I find it much faster, and more pleasurable to do than with the MKB.

I’m pleased you’re enjoying your set-up.

It's funny the ageing eyes comments re needing bigger screens, do people go through life with poor eye sight thinking they will just keep getting bigger screens to suit lol.
Havn't heard of glasses.

Hate to say this, but at a certain point, glasses don't solve the problem.

I have had the MK since August 13th. I am using the MK 99.9% of the time. I find it a great fit and the trackpad makes me not want to separate it. I find its comfortable on the lap and the viewing angles are fine for me. I taken it off a few times but only for a few minutes because I want that trackpad.

I tried the 12.9 first and for some reason, the height to width ratio of the device really bugged me. It seemed too tall in landscape.

For me, the 11 is a much nicer looking device. It's easier to hold as a tablet.

I also have the Magic Keyboard for it and I love it. The trackpad seems small, but that's because I also have a 16 inch MBP, the trackpad on that thing is ginormous. In use it's fine.

It weighs less, travels easier, it's great. No remorse for missing out on a larger keyboard.

P.S. This probably goes for the 12.9 as well, but I found out the other day that AirPods cases, both normal and pro, fit wonderfully behind the iPad and Magic Keyboard when open.

I honestly don't get adding a physical keyboard and trackpad to an iPad. Just get a laptop at that point. If you want to do serious amounts of writing then a laptop will generally be much better at it, and it'll also give you a ton of additional abilities too. If you just want to do a little bit of writing on the go then just find an onscreen keyboard solution that works well for you. I use the mini keyboard layout with swipe, which is very comfortable and it's almost as fast as typing on a physical keyboard.

I can use the on-screen keyboard but, I find I can type better with the Magic Keyboard. I can type all day and not get tired.

I find when i am using the MK, when i use the touch screen, it wobbles, which is fine but its making tiny metal ticking sound, not sure how to describe the sound exactly, but anyone hearing anything when it wobbles?

My screen doesn’t wobble while secured to the Magic Keyboard. It is firmly in place.
