What I want, I think already exists i just don't know the name of it, so maybe you guys can help, it's for when your on your home screen, you can pinch out or zoom out to look at all the icon pages at once?

Not insane, would just require accessible storage on the iPad, which you should get with JB.

ah! please excuse my ignorance so with a jailbroken iPad, i can write up a document in Pages, get out from it and go to like iFiles and obtain the file or something or does apps need to be specifically written to "see" the accessible storage compartment? thanks again for your help!

I do not know the specifics for these apps, but I remember from the iPhone, APPS were locked to their own directory, and could not see other APPS directories. With Jail Break, you will have access to the files and can move them from one directory to another, so you could move the files from Pages 'locked' directory to Good Readers 'locked' directory.

ahhhhhhhh! that would make perfect sense! thank you so much for your help! you're a genius! (not those apple store this-is-how-you-turn-on-your-phone-kind). my iPad is so OS 5.0 now (multitasking and file management)
