did that open the floodgates for you to look at bigger phones? for some ODD reason, i've become intrigued with the NOTE 4.. i know, this is absurd to ask here but i'm just wondering if anyone feels the same.

btw: watch iphone 6+ vs note 4 videos... it's interesting how samsung is already on it's 4th iteration and apple is only on it's first and it looks damn well.

is there such thing? lol

I tend to think that in terms of engineering the new 6 and 6+ are quick and easy crowd pleasers compared to delivering some serious quality per square inch that would be needed for a 'normal' sized iPhone. (iPhone 4 size) I think they may need more time to work out energy consumption - or how to provide fewer toys in a more powerful tool.

I think I'm talking about power to weight ratio - this makes me want it to be an iPhone air.

I think most people who frequent this sub-forum would have already considered a phablet prior to the 6 Plus.

Personally, I find them too large.

5" is my favourite screen size, so the new iPhones are both above and below my preferred size :(

On the contrary for me, being a phablet user in the past Note 3, One +1, lumia 1520 - I am well and truly over them .... I went back to smaller compact handsets, indeed after 18 months of over stretched fingers and awkward Palm juggling tricks whilst trying to use the phone when it could be only done one handed, it made me put 'ergonomics' above added functionality as a priority. The S-Pen is awesome and I will keep interested in the Note pro 12.2 line, but as for phablets, nope..... They're like soooo yesterday :)

Oh and as for

im glad they stick with the classic naming convention, 6 and 6 Plus instead of iPhone Air. now they could've used the Air naming convention and call it iPhone 6 Air. but i guess they don't want to mx up product identities. Air will be strictly for macbooks and iPads.

yea i think it will come to that point one day. i think right now, we're so used to the one handed ergonomic use so the phablet is a welcome size.. for now.

as far as the "lmao" i said that cuz it's hilarious how i've seen people jump on trolls here. this is surely not a troll thread i was just wondering if anyone feels the same. i love me some apple :apple:.

How can you say that looking at videos comparing the Note 4 and the iPhone 6 plus that apple got it right on the first try ? they have a major problem now with the home button/touch id, they don't want to deal with the bezels and i don't know how they can change/improve the design much in the near future because of it.

Im waiting myself for a iPhone 6 plus but god damm that thing is huge and could have been better by doing something in regards of the home button (they should had deal with it by the time the iPhone 5 dropped) and of course i can see how the new iPhones would have had a better battery life if they forget about making it more thin.

Quite a lot of people are/were open for big screen phones/phablets and now that apple joined finally whe can stop hearing all the bs comments on this forum; anyway i guess this thread got dumped here.

This is the beginning of the end for android users who always make fun of how small iPhone screens are. Now they got nothing to say really. Haha

Who cares what people say, but what you like and be happy. Otherwise you may have insecurity issues. With that kind of mentality I would have never enjoyed my 1520 and Windows Phone. In my opinion, Apple has got nothing on the Note 4. After looking at the Plus in person, it's just a bigger iPhone. That's it. The Note 4 is just so much more of a productivity device. The one that all other phablets are judged by. I have yet to see one in person, but basing it off the Note 3, I think it's fair to make such a statement. Multi window, SPen, floating apps, and a killer 2K AMOLED screen are just a few things that show how far behind Apple is with the Plus in comparison. But I give Apple credit for entering the bigger screen space. Now if they can only minimize the space around their displays.

There are plenty of other shortcomings on the iPhone (any model) that Android users can criticize, many of them quite valid.

Now that we've had a taste of the phablet size...

Agreed, ios has many advantages, but screen size is not the only reason people left for android.

The jail still exists, for example.

Most average ios users are content being confined.

It's the saurik of the world's that want freedom to develop outside of these confines. The rest just want something simple and just works.

For me, I love how how both OS are unique to the user.

However, I still like Android a little better.

When the jailbreak gets released shouldn't that address the "jail" issue.. Zomg imagine a jailbroken 6+

Oh the fanboyism is strong with this one!
Oh boy, I didn't see that post, lol!

Remember the days of Steve Jobs hating on Android devices that were bigger than 4 inches? And Apple fan boys all agreed with his proclamation! Slamming Samsung for making big devices.

When I was an Apple user, I was getting pretty desperate in getting a bigger screen than a 4" display. Then 2 years after I switch they FINALLY upgrade the size.

Yes, but there are caveats with jailbreaking. Can't update, can't restore, and can't need warranty service after apple stops signing jailbreakable firmware.

If I need a restore on my 7.1.2 iPad air before ios8 is jailbroken I'll be pissed.

I'm pretty much done with the phablet size myself. I'll hold unto my LG G3 but that is my last in its size. The Moto X has spoiled me but to tell the truth I don't think we will ever see another as far as great ergonomics like that again and at a great price.

Yep, it's why it will be one of the rare phones that I will keep hold of, even if I do get others (not selling or trading it in)... Moto X is a great little handset.
