Maybe that's why VPC 7 runs just as terrible on G5s as it does on G4s?Fun fact, microsoft virtual pc used ppc's little endian mode for x86 emulation. Microsoft needed to modify virtual pc to work on the g5 since it can't use little endian mode like the previous ppc cpu's could.
The 360 has more in common with a G5 than it does a PS3 cell. It's essentially a custom triple-core G5, whereas the PS3 is its own beast.I don't know too much about the ps3's cpu, and by extension the 360's
The GameCube would be a cool system to speculate on, though. It's a PPC 750 but with Altavec, which has always confused me a bit because most reports say the only difference between the 7400 and 750 was one has Altavec, the other doesn't.
