actually the second power connection is supposed to be a precaution, the power consumption is within the first power connection specs but barely.

so we can't use that 2nd 6pin power connection?

i was thinking of buying a bunch of thoese 6pin to 4 pin molex cables and rip off the ends and link it back to become a 6 pin to 6pin
althought i have no idea if it will even fit?
does it use standard size 6pin sockets?

i called up a apple dealer near my work
and they said it might be possible for them to order that cable from apple?
then again i don't know if it will fit to the 8800 gtx connectors

I have a question. Can I use this NVidia Card or any other NVidia card with Titan with the Mac Pro on Bootcamp? Meaning on PC side.

Not Working For Me

Well Da**it guys. I can NOT get the BFG 8800GTX to work in my mac pro.

The machine will boot but you do not hear the apple chime.

After that it just sits there and makes the cd rom drive click and the hard drives click and spinup as well.

It is NOT a power problem. I even tried an external 550 watt PS and that will not work either.
I even tried the other pcie slots and its a no go...well not sure what to do now.
